View on Google MapsI joined the morning food tour to visit the famous Lupis Mbah Satinem after seeing so many strong reviews, and they were correct. The tour focused on local spots where vendors clearly care about their craft. One standout dish was a Javanese salad prepared the traditional way, ground fresh in a mortar right in front of me. That extra time and effort really showed. It’s the kind of place and experience you wouldn’t easily find on your own, and it reflects how thoughtfully the tour is curated. The hostess was incredibly kind and attentive. She even shared her sunblock when I forgot mine and helped me book a Grab to my next tour. I loved the experience and would absolutely book with them again. This is a genuinely excellent tour company, and you’ll be glad you booked a tour with them.
I joined a food tour with Anisa and it was absolutely spectacular. Her passion for Indonesian cuisine and culture is truly contagious, and she made every stop feel like a journey into the heart of the country. Anisa doesn’t just show you food – she shares stories, traditions, and insights that make the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended 🌟

I had an amazing morning walking around and trying the various street foods of Jogja with Anisa. Not only was she so informative about the various foods we tried, but she also gave me a unique perspective into how Indonesian culture and history of the past carries on into the present. I also love that she brought me to local vendors rather than chain restaurants as a way to support small businesses. She also carefully made sure that the food was safely prepared for foreigners like myself. This was one of my most memorable mornings in this city. I highly HIGHLY recommend this tour.
This tour was one of the most culturally immersive experiences I had in Yogyakarta. The food was wonderful and so interesting. Anisa did such a great job catering to individual dietary restrictions. She was knowledgeable, warm, and fun to chat with. This tour and all of the amazing food and kind vendors was a favorite part of my Jogja trip!
It was a wonderful experience walking in Central Yogyakarta tasting traditional foods and snacks which would not be available at hotels or restaurants. The quality of the foods were varied from sweet savoury and crispy. I like that the food was light and fresh so that we could walk along and feel energized. Anisa is a great guide and communicative. I also like that they cater to all diets so that it can accommodate everyone. I also like that she is acquainted with street vendors and their specialties. Yogyakarta has a very strong local culinary tradition and this tour is a great way to experience the delicious snacks that the vendors offer.
My sister and I had such a lovely time on our morning food tour with Anisa. She was so welcoming and friendly, and it was a joy to spend our morning with her as we explored the local treats on offer in Jogja and she explained the history of the city and the food. My favourite food we tried was the "Wedhang Tahu". It was so delicious, I went back later in the week to eat it again. Thank you so much Anisa for being such a great host and for sharing all the delicious food with us! I couldn't recommend this tour more!!
This is a great experience to be introduced to local Indo snacks/food whilst learning a bit about Indo history, culture and tourism. They will also bring you to places where locals go, so it’s really an authentic experience. Anisa was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. It felt like I was there with a good friend. Highly highly recommend not to miss.
Kalika was an amazing guide with a lot of insightful information and happy to answer any and all questions with a big smile. Great variety of foods to try and we had great time.
We loved the morning food tour. Anisa was wonderful! So interesting, a great conversationalist and the food was excellent. One of the best food tours I have ever been on.
Awesome tour, very well organised by Anisa who was a great guide. We tried the following delicious local foods, all at authentic local shops and restaurants that we would not have known to try if not for Anisa's guidance: lupis, wedang tahu, cakwe, gudeg, lumpia (and other jajanan pasar), soto ayam, and kopi joss. And also enjoyed a nice little becak ride along the way. Definitely recommend
