View on Google MapsTracey was an excellent guide and modified things as she developed a good relationship with those in the group. Very informative about history of Yellowknife and government of NWT. We stopped at many places that all are unique to area and Yellowknife. Highly recommend city tour to one visiting Yellowknife
The Yellowknife Bucket List City Tour was a great experience. Tracy has a ton of knowledge and she shared stories and facts as we drove around to the various venues on the tour. Each stop was a chance to experience some history and learn about the north. I felt we spent just enough time at each location. There wasn't a sense of having to rush, rush, rush to get through the location and move on. Driving to the next spot gave us a chance to ask questions and get further insights about what we had seen, and Tracy was always happy to share. Tracy had good connections with the many people and places we went to, and I felt this gave us access to "behind the scenes" information that we wouldn't have had if we weren't on the tour. (The legislative building part of the tour was a great example of this.) We would highly recommend this tour; it was excellent and Tracy was a fantastic tour guide.
This tour was awesome and comes with our highest recommendation! The bus showed up on time and a nice group of 9 strangers were whisked away on our adventure! The walk in was not long, but dark and mysterious and our arrival at the cabin was a wonderful surprise! We were served homemade fish chowder and freshly baked bannock with special jams; so good! The cabin was filled with interesting things, a highlight being the large variety of fur and traditional coats that kept us warm and cozy while we lounged outside in comfortable chairs; waiting for the Northern Lights. Aurora finally showed up around 1:30 am long after other tours may have packed it in for the night. The group voted to stay longer and our tour guide, Tracy, agreed to extend the tour. Aurora put on a show that we all enjoyed and we were later sent photos as a reminder of our experience! Thank you Tracy for your generous heart and for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. You and your team and are real gems!
This 4 hr city tour hit all of the spots that I needed to get a lay of the land. Angus was a great guide. We drove through Old Town and stopped at Pilot’s Monument. We drove through D’nilo village. We stopped at the Yellowknife Sign and Bristol Monument. We visited the Legislative assembly and the Prince of Wales Centre. I really enjoyed the work on display at Nature’s North Museum. Our final stop was at the visitor centre where we picked up our Yellowknife certificate. This tour was very good! People should know to pack a snack or have a big breakfast.
Touring with Tracy was like site seeing with a friend. She showed us all the highlights and museums of Yellowknife including the ice road and ice castle. She even took us to her favorite coffee shop that had non dairy options for my vegan daughter since I had mentioned our hotel offered nothing non dairy. She extended the tour to 4 hours to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see. She is quite flexible. Book with her. You will love it💕. She also offers aurora viewing at her cabin which gets rave reviews…. Wish we had booked a night at her aurora viewing cabin.
Tracy, the hostess/owner of Bucket List Tours, puts her heart and soul into her tours. Each and every tour she runs is excellent and exceeds expectations. She bends over backwards to be accommodating to her guests and does what she can to make sure that everyone is happy. She is thoroughly versed in every topic important to the tour. She is offering, spans time, showing you the important things to be seen, and is never in a hurry to get the tour over with so she can get on with her day. She is the best. The city tour was a great way to spend the day. I wasn’t sure that there was much to see in Yellowknife other than the northern lights, but Tracy‘s tour was very interesting, and we were very pleased that we went.
Tracey was welcoming and took us to see so many unique Yellowknife places. Not just the mainstream though we did them too! Tracey was just so kind and generous and helpful and it was truly a day to remember. If this tour isn't on your Bucket list, I recommend adding it (and then doing it so you can cross it off ;) ) Thankyou so much Tracey! kind regards Joeline
Tracy took us all over the interesting sites in Yellowknife. She was very organized, professional, and informative. We also met some local artists. She had great snacks for everyone! I highly recommend.
Though she hails from Hay River, Tracy is a stellar ambassador for Yellowknife. Her passion for the place shines through her ongoing narration of the places you visit, emphasizing why they matter, especially all the symbolism in the legislative building. Our group of 14 did both the City Tour during the day and the Cozy Cabin at night. Both are unique and special experiences you want to include with your aurora-viewing memories. Along with, as other reviewers say, her bannock recipe!
The day was well spent. We had a tour of the legislative building, saw many Yellowknife city sights. Tracy is a wonderful tour guide/operator; her knowledge of the people, history and city was informative.
