View on Google MapsWe enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour. Dog sledding was done in groups. We spent the time waiting for warm tea explaining the local animal species and the old hunting methods. Sit in front of the first row to see your dog's running better. He let me touch it after I finished. We enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour and also we were very happy to see Aurora on our last night. Sofas are available and can be viewed from the camp windows. Groups with small children were watching from inside. Toilet available. The pick-up time is accurate, we know a lot about the Northern Lights and always answer any questions we ask. He prepared hot water for me and helped me shoot. We recommend using what’s up rather than email to contact us. It was good to ask them to tour here.
My friend and I booked three consecutive days of the Northern Lights tour, and we were fortunate to have Doug as our guide for all 3 nights. He was an absolute gem—knowledgeable, engaging, and always willing to answer our questions about the aurora and Yellowknife. He also offered thoughtful recommendations, and we genuinely enjoyed our conversations with him. The dome was very warm and cozy, allowing us to comfortably step in and out while watching the aurora. The outdoor deck was spacious enough to accommodate a group of sixteen tourist, with plenty of room for everyone to take photos without getting in each other’s way.

We had a nice time and the Aurora’s cooperated quite nicely! Did not know the lights could dance! Trip out to the viewing area was quick. We had a pretty cold night so the dome never got real warm but out host was great and as mentioned, saw some fantastic lights!
This was the BEST tour we had while we were at Yellowknife. The owner and tour guide were super friendly and accommodating, the location was great for viewing, and the dome was super cozy. Overall it was an amazing and memorable experience. Totally would recommend to anyone visiting
We had a lovely time at the Skydome. Doug, our guide, was very informative and helpful answering any questions. The Skydome was an extremely comfortable and tranquil experience. We loved hearing the sled dogs, in the nearby kennel, howl every now and then.
