View on Google MapsPJ was an excellent guide. This is a legit sheepdog demo. And the views over Killary Fjord are incredible.
Fun experience watching the sheep dog herd sheep! Scenery was beautiful! Easy to find and staff were friendly!
PJ and Rex were a great duo! It was a treat to observe such an intelligent animal perform his work with the commands of his trainer/sheep farmer. It was eye opening to see how it works. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Plus the drive to get there was brilliant.

Excellent demonstration, farmer answered everyone's questions after and people could greet the dog Rex
So we came here while on vacation from Boston. We had two kids (aged 11 and 13) and it was wonderful. Watching Rex, the border Collie herd the sheep was fabulous. PJ the farmer was really informative and taught us so many things! If you want a wonderful time, please come here! I can’t recommend it enough. We will definitely be back next time we come back to Galway!
We got to watch the pup work and our was incredible to witness how well trained and intelligent they are. The sheep shearing was also fun to witness and their was plenty of time to ask questions. My son loved being able to feed the babies.
friendly activity with children in an exceptional setting Welcoming host with a nice herding dog demonstration
HIGHLY recommend this experience! First of all, the location is drop dead gorgeous. It was super fun to watch the dog do his herding and learn from the hosts. It was sometimes tricky to hear them over the baby goats, but that was so worth it when we got to feed the baby goats at the end. Also, the hosts are around for questions if you miss what they say. You also get to see a sheep sheering!
A very nice experience. No question was too much, everything was calmly and carefully explained and shown. The children were allowed to feed lambs milk themselves.
Accessible for children and people with difficulty in getting around. Explanations are in English.
