View on Google MapsA very informative tour around our home town with Ed giving us some great history of his Character Robert Dudley and the then owner of the Castle. He also managed to explain quite complicated historical events surrounding the Lancaster and York houses (The war of the Roses).
We took our grandchildren aged 8 and 10 on this tour. Although we live locally, we really enjoyed the tour and discovered something new about the city. The grandchildren enjoyed building on their knowledge from school history lessons and Ed was excellent at engaging them. Would recommend
Our guide was dressed as lord Robert Dudley and he played the part to perfection. He was very funny and informative, explaining historical facts in an easy to understand manner. I would highly recommend this tour.
Great guide. insightful and funny. Very well researched and presented. Guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Nice to see someone passionate about what they do.
I went on this tour recently with my boyfriend as we heard Warwick was a romantic town, and now even more romantic after hearing about the scandalous affairs between Robert Dudley and Elizabeth I
Had an incredible time seeing Warwick. The guide was very informative and I was especially interested in the war of the roses. Robert Dudley was a great guide and Edward played the role really well. The wether was great and it was really great to see the places on the tour. Definitely worth doing after seeing the castle!
So I was in the area and looking for the best way to venture the town of Warwick I fancy myself as a bit of an explorer, my heroes growing up were Christopher Columbus, Alexander the Great and Indiana Jones. However I have a new hero and he goes by the name of Robert Dudley played beautifully by our tour guide Edward, who I must say is rather dashing, during the tour he tapped me on the shoulder, I haven’t washed since, but anyways I have conquered Warwick, Birmingham is next where I look forward to the infamous Peaky Blinder, one can only hope it’s as enchanting, oh my I cannot wait.
This was a great day out with family learning about the past and being there to see the views was a great part. The tour guide was both enthusiastic and entertaining making the tour interactive and a good experience would recommend as a great day out!
I went on this tour with my sister who loves historic cities ,and it was great especially the way the tour guide was all dressed up it reminded me of horrible histories.
An amazing way to learn more about the history of Warwick. You are transported back in history in such an enjoyable way. Ed is an ideal guide. So entertaining and knowledgeable. He entertains in character as Robert Dudley so makes the tour unforgettable and great fun. Everyone enjoys the experience and I would recommend this tour without hesitation. Personally I would say book up for the tour. You will not be disappointed.
