View on Google MapsThe weather was perfect today, and we headed out early for a tour of Santiago de Compostela. Our guide, Christina, was so good! She have us the history of Galicia as we took a coach to the site. First, we went to the museum. We visited the tomb of St. James and gave him a hug. (Yes, that’s a thing everyone does.) After that, we were fortunate enough to attend mass at the cathedral. There were pilgrims attending from all over the world. Mass was in Spanish. Before the mass, visitors that were not participating were asked to leave. The organ was unique and had pipes going both vertically and horizontally! At the end of mass, some officials told people to stay clear, and then they lit the Botifumiero. Wow! A team of monks got it swinging, and it looked like it was going to hit the ceiling! It’s a GIANT incense burner suspended from the ceiling of the cathedral. We were so lucky to see this! Cameras weren’t allowed during mass, but I found this on YouTube. https://share.google/xDd9y8l2AVfbXCley Then we met up with Christina again, and she bought us some special Galician beer from the cafe. We drank it on the bus on our way back home. What a wonderful day!
Incredible day exploring Santiago De Compostella. We had no idea about the history of this place, but now are in awe of "The Way" and the lengths travelers go to complete the path. Guides were excellent. Highly recommend.

Our guide Christina was great... very knowledgeable and friendly. The wireless ear pieces worked flawlessly. Santiago is a must do if you are in the area. If you haven't seen the movie The Way do yourself a favour and watch it before you go to Santiago
Excellent excursion and guide from cruise ship. Good impression of Santiago with many explanations by the guide.
It was a very good trip. Our guide, Marie, was an excellent guide. She was very accommodating and helpful. She gave us tips on which restaurants to consider for lunch. It was easy to keep an eye on her with the umbrella and we love using the ear buds so we could hear what she was saying. I highly recommend this trip!
Excellent communication from the company. Full instructions re pick up at cruise terminal. The tour guide (Justine?) was excellent, giving us comprehensive information en route to Santiago. Her English was excellent. We enjoyed a great tour of the Cathedral & Museum and had some free time to get lunch/snack. Would recommend.
Excellent visit to Santiago De Compostela. Very knowledgeable guide, comfortable coach and great mix of free time and guided tour.
Tour guide was great. Driver was great. Felt safe and secure entire tour. We had time to do a little shopping, we went for a bite to eat at a local pub/bakery that had churros & chocolate
Making the trip from the cruise port , so a lengthy bus trip is part of the deal. Bus was modern and comfortable and fortunately our bus wasn't filled to capacity. Tour guide was good and and answered all our questions. Recommended best for Christian couples interested in history of Apostle St. James.
Your was as described and delivered as promised. Very comfortable coach. Our Guide was very informative, interesting and pleasant.
