View on Google MapsThis is a very easy and accessible experience. Even though the nearly full moon reduces the impact if you don't mind getting under a tarp you can see the full effect. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. You don't have to kayak far at all. Just prepare to get very muddy feet entering and exiting the water. You get to hose it off when you get back. Great evening experience.
Do this tour! Small group and excellent guides. Be sure to check the full moon schedule as you want the darkest day. If you can, recommend flying over ferry. If you take the ferry be early as the timing is very strict.
Please do not use this tour company. Our guide left one of our group out in the middle of the bay in the dark. Another tour operator guided them back and said it was completely unacceptable for them to do that. This other guide gave them the history of the area and lots of information which our guide did not. Also it was a partial moon so it was very difficult to see the bioluminescence. Only go when there’s no moon.

Such a cool experience and guides made it super easy to just show up and have fun! Saw microflaggella and fish darting under the water and got an astronomy lesson too!
Guide was very experienced, fun and informative! We have done the bio-bay with this guide many times and he NEVER disappoints.
Lulu was great. She was funny and explained everything. We were able to see some amazing bioluminescence during our visit. Loved it.
A good experience. A little disorganized since the meeting point was a spot on the curb and no real sign or formal way of knowing how to meet. They were professional enough to send out a waiver form in advance, but that was about the extent of the professionalism. A very nice guide and curious, assistant were quite accommodating though. Don’t wear your best clothes since you have to track through sulphuric mud to get to the bay itself. It was a moonless night, so it was really remarkably beautiful. We were expected to follow the guide’s kayak with a light stick, however, that was not recharged so he used his cell phone flashlight, which was a bit distracting since we were trying to stay in low light conditions. Overall, a good experience, just not our typical TripAdvisor experience.
We had a great experience. Our guide was Leo, and he did a good job explaining everything - we went to the center of the bay and he gave us details about the bioluminescence. We saw a few fish, but even as your paddles go through the water, you can see the bioluminescence. And their kayaks are completely clear so you can see under your kayak as well. No matter what tour company you use, at the site you’re going to have to walk through some mud. This tour company had a hose available so we could clean up afterward. Super happy with our experience!
Our guide was knowledgeable, efficient and fun and the experience was incredible! Must do activity when you visit Vieques!
Phenomenal experience. I have done bio tours in other countries and they do not come close our guide was highly interactive and very friendly.
