View on Google MapsJulia’s knowledge of art, Austrian culture, and Gustav Klimt is exceptional. She beautifully connected Klimt’s work to history, culture, and his lasting influence, making everything clear and inspiring. Passionate, engaging, and truly memorable — highly recommended!
This tour turned out to be an absolutely unforgettable experience for our family! At each museum, every magnificent artwork added a new layer to Klimt’s artistic legacy. Julia was an excellent guide who helped us understand how each piece emerges from the interplay between personal talent and broader cultural influences. The tour was demanding in terms of time and energy, but we left with a deeper appreciation for Klimt’s artistic vision and a renewed curiosity about the mysteries behind his work. Whether you’re a Klimt lover or simply looking for a memorable cultural experience, this tour offers something truly unique and is highly recommended.
This was one of two tours we took with Julia. Both were excellent. My wife and I knew very little about Klimt other than "The Kiss" and "The Woman in Gold" and essentially nothing about his life or the scope of his work. This tour was great not only because we learned so much about Klimt and the evolution of his work, but we visited three outstanding venues all of which are interesting in their own right. Julia has a talent for explaining and illustrating how his art evolved pointing out the transitions as they occurred in his work. Incredibility fascinating and more importantly, fun and enjoyable. Julia is a pleasure to learn from, and we highly recommend her. My guess is every tour she has curated would be great based on the two experiences we had with her (our other tour was the must see masterpieces of the Museum of Art History (Kunsthistorisches Museum).
This tour was so much more than just an introduction to Klimt’s paintings—it opened up the entire history of art from a completely new perspective. Julia’s ability to connect the dots across time periods, artists, and cultural shifts was truly enlightening. The tour was filled with humor, insight, and thoughtful connections that bridged art with deeper cultural understanding. A fascinating and enriching experience from start to finish!
This was far more than just a tour of Klimt’s art — it was a rich, layered experience that stayed with us long after it ended. Our guide skillfully wove deep insights into a captivating and accessible narrative. It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Vienna. We absolutely recommend it!
She was on time and thorough in her explanations and highlighted popular and interesting pieces that showed what inspired Klimt in his work, and the shifts in his paintings as he evolved artistically.
Perfect tour for Klimt lovers! Julia is an extremely knowledgeable art historian. Led a very structured tour that weaved Klimts upbringing, career, and life together into a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Julia is an outstanding guide, we learned so much more than we anticipated. She made art history and Gustav Klimt’s work come to life
Julia is a very knowledgeable art historian. You can learn about both the art and artwork. Highly recommend for anyone who is an art lover and would like to deeply understand art and artists.
My husband and I arranged for two private art tours with Julia: the “Vermeer, Bruegel, Titian” tour in the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the “Big Tour of Gustav Klimt’s” art in three separate museums. We wholeheartedly recommend Julia. She is one of our favorite tour guides ever. To begin with, Julia’s knowledge of art and art history is encyclopedic. She doesn’t just explain the key elements of a painting; rather, she describes how the artist was influenced by older artists as well as current peers and how these influences manifest in a given painting. She also pointed out hidden elements and not-so-obvious themes in the paintings (and in the museums that contain the art works) that really enhanced our appreciation and understanding. In fact, Julia made me so excited about art that I’m actively thinking about enrolling in an art history class. If you treat yourself to an art tour with Julia, you will not be disappointed.
