View on Google MapsWe created a custom tour where Banjo coordinated our trip from Calama, Chile to the Uyuni Salt Flats and then returned us to Calama. They were flexible and responsive and very easy to work with. Our guide and driver were knowledgeable and flexible as we had to make changes to our itnerary along the way. We would recommend Banjo and appreciate the great experience they gave us!
We loved our time in Uyuni, throughout the desert and ending in the Atacama. Abraham was a wonderful English-speaking guide. He was knowledgeable about nature facts and the questions we asked bout Bolivia's history. Our driver was extremely mindful and we always felt safe on the 4x4 roads. We are very happy we chose the private tour for the 2 of us as we had plenty of space and the car was very comfortable. We loved the salt hotel in Uyuni and the sunset snacks they prepared for us on the salt flats were extremely memorable! The second night accommodation was below our standard, but I'm not sure there is anything better in that area, deep in the desert, 90 minutes from the Chile border. Be prepared, ask for pictures and lower your standard. We had a private room, but in general, it was hostel vibes, with limited running/hot water. The kind of place you want to wear sandals everywhere. The bonus of this stay is being at the natural hot springs, 2 minute walk away. I'm am 40 and stayed at these kind of places in my early 20s, so it brought back memories. Still worth this tour if that is the only level avail, but just a heads up! Overall, Banjo tours was organized, on time and helped our travel dreams come true. Bolivia is raw and real, enjoy!!!

It has been a very well organized trip. My special thanks to Álex Sánchez guide and driver for his professionalism and experience. And also, the views and everything visited spectacular. Thank you.
Everything went amazing—from start to finish, this Banjo tour exceeded all expectations. The guides were outstanding: incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and always ready with fascinating insights into the region’s geology, culture, and history. They didn’t just lead the way—they made the journey deeply informative and engaging. The highlight? An unexpected off-road adventure that took a dramatic turn into a late-night rescue operation. What could’ve been a setback became one of the most memorable parts of the trip—thanks to the team’s calm expertise and quick thinking. After that, a two-hour night drive to Uyuni felt like the perfect cinematic ending to an epic day. It wasn’t just worth it—it was more than worth it. Accommodations in the comfort category were genuinely nice: clean, cozy, and well-located. Food was simple but tasty, with fresh local flavors that fueled us through long days of exploration. We’d highly recommend Banjo to anyone seeking adventure, authenticity, and a team that turns challenges into stories you’ll tell for years. This wasn’t just a tour—it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We had an incredible experience with our guide Jhovana and driver Alex. The sites were out of this world and the Banjo itinerary is excellent and smart and makes the most out of each part of Bolivia.
We did the 3 day private tour. It was a fantastic experience and the scenery is out of this world. Our english speaking guide Joana and our driver Jerry were Uyuni locals who love their jobs and know the area like the back of their hands. They made sure we were comfortable and got to see all the sights. Joana is full of energy and knowledge and a delight to be with. Jerry's driving always made us feel safe. The Banjo Tour itself is profesionally run and accommodation and food and treats are top notch for where you are. Joana does not treat you like a tourist but as a guest to her country. Highly recommend this Banjo Tour. Worth every cent.
We did a 3 day tour to the Uyuni Salt Flats. It was an amazing introduction to Bolivia. The first day, we drove to Sajama National Park, which was beautiful. The following day, we made our way to the salt flat, while passing through the beautiful countryside. And the final day was enjoying everything the Uyuni salt flats had to offer. Our driver, Ruben and our guide, Ben were both very knowledgeable and accommodating. Ben is very informative, whether it was about the geography, wildlife, history, or just the country itself. Ruben was excellent on those rough backroads. Our lodging was really nice and everyone was very friendly. Even when our tour was technically over, they made sure we had a ride to the airport. I can’t recommend them enough!
I contacted Ben early 2025 and he responded very rapidly with clear information that I needed. Around April we settled the package to visit Uyuni. Right before heading to Peru which was a primary part of the Andes journey, I realized that land crossing at notorious Desaguadero potentially can be challenging. Ben assisted me and provided detailed information even though this wasn’t his responsibility after all. He also arranged a car to pick us up after the border. Thank you for all the work to ensure our smooth journey. At Uyuni Nadia who was a young beautiful Bolivian lady guided us for three days. She was very thoughtful and having full knowledge of the area. It was lovely to work with someone who has passion for the people, the land and all the beauties. The picnic at the salt flats was one of the highlights of the trip. I had no idea how Elmer handled driving with ease. There was no roads or signs. I didn’t see GPS. Obviously he knows every peak around or all the tracks. I do love Bolivia which still offers special Andes flavors. And I hope Bolivia develops slowly and maintains its tradition.
I organized a trip to Bolivia in the Easter holidays (National Parks and Salar de Uyuni) with Banjo Tours! Everything was perfect, from food to housing. Special mention for Zenon, our fantastic guide!
Very good tour company. Excellent guide and driver. These guys were really worth the value. They went out of their way to make the experience once in a lifetime
