Alex was a terrific guide. His knowledge, background and pace was perfect to keep our group engaged and curious to know more. Appreciated recommendations and tips for our visit. Had a great lunch at one of our stops after the tour! Great walking tour!!
Alex was great ! We thoroughly enjoyed his enthusiasm for the history of the area. He was so knowledgeable and informative. I would highly recommend this tour to any other friends who come to visit Tucson!
We thoroughly enjoyed the "Tucson Gastronomy tour" of the Barrio Viejo neighborhood. Strolling amongst the colorful adobe houses, brewpubs and Mexican cantinas and offered so much detailed information about everything, architecture, culture, food, local history. We are super excited to book with Alex on the Borderlandia "Mexico City" tour, knowing it will surely be a great adventure. Can't recommend this highly enough!
So much interesting history packed into the two hours with fascinating anecdotes to fill out the story. Highly recommend!
I did a Rio Sonora tour with Borderlandia in January 2025. Rio Sonora. A very smooth trip. No disruptions. The food was absolutely incredible and learning the history of these small river towns and the Spanish, who moved through this area. I would do this exact same trip again.
Alex is very immersed in the history, culture, architecture, landscape of the region. Much to learn from this rich community.
So very informative and efficiently conveyed historical and cultural information. Highly recommend as an introduction to Tucson and the downtown area.
