20 Rue Peiresc, Toulon, 83000, France
View on Google MapsUnfortunately our tour took place on a Sunday & most stores were closed so I did not get to shop in the stores that I was hoping to visit, however the places we did see were really lovely & our guide really looked after us, he was very accommodating & played such beautiful French old classics in his vehicle on the way back to our ship which I really enjoyed. Many Thanks.
We were very disappointed! First...our pick up spot was a hotel in Toulon. We never had the option for pick-up at our ship in Provence. We had to take a water taxi at $25 per person to get there. Then the driver calls and says he is at the ship. So we had to wait 25 for him to drive to Toulon. Then we discovered he was just a taxi driver. We scheduled a TOUR. We expected a guide to tell us about the region and where we were going. I think the driver just headed to the major regions/areas. No explanation or information. He just dropped us off and told us a time to return to the van. We were looking forward to learning about the beautiful region. For the price we paid, we expected and deserved a tour not a taxi ride. If the tour was just a taxi ride that was not what was advertised/ described.

Go up to the Mont Faron cable car, superb walks. I'm going back there in June and will visit the zoo. Superb walks on admirable beaches
We liked Toulon. Nice beaches, well-frequented clubs in the evening. Neat and clean. Well deserved visit to the naval museum and cableway ride.
Horrible experience with Provence Amazing Tours. We received an email canceling the tour, without reason, on the morning of the tour. We were notified just as we were about to walk off the ship. We had paid for this tour, for 8 people, in full, over 2 weeks prior.
Nice little town, well maintained. The port is very characteristic, with many bars and clubs to admire the landscape.
Toulon by itself is not really worth visiting but it is the best place to settle a base for visiting around the Cote d'Azur area as you will meet so many points of interest on the West, North as well East or South radius towards the famous Porquerolles islands.also called Iles d'Hyeres. West you can easily reach Bandol with its nice Bay and its wineyards, La Ciotat that used to be famous with its Shipyards, and go up to Cassis, touching the famous Calanques and you are so close to Marseille then. North you might get to Le Castellet, typical Provence village with its wineyards ans the famous Motor racing circuit, as well as many stone villages at random on top of hills located on the first hills of Provence Alpes. Driving East, you are at one hour drive from St Tropez and Port Grimaud, the little Venice on the Azurean Coast. And last but not least, Toulon is the main French Navy harbor where the Aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is based when not sailing but I am not sure it is easy to visit.
Private tour from cruise port of Toulon. Awesome views from the top of the mountain overlooking Cassis. Allowed us time for lunch and shopping.
Es una experiencia tan distinta, tan fuera de lo normal que es muy especial! Lo disfrutamos muchos! Gracias lorenzo
Laurent is a fun eccentric with a vast knowledge of the area. This excursion is excellent for groups up to 8 and the AC Mercedes van and cool water was very thoughtful. I would highly recommend Laurent and this tour.
