View on Google MapsDavid was a great guide, we felt very comfortable with him. We recommend it. In addition, the tour route was superb.
We did the Soviet Tbilisi tour with guide Temo. The tour was absolutely incredible, highly recommend!! It was truly engaging and immersive, offering so much more than a standard history-focused tour. The plentiful featured stops highlighted history, architecture, culture, snacks, and even first-hand accounts; each added something unique, valuable, and impactful to form a balanced and well-rounded perspective of Georgia’s Soviet period. The route itself was also perfect logistically- there were many locations with appropriate amount of time at each to see and learn with minimal time spent traveling between them. We got to visit and appreciate many places that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Our tour guide Temo was warm, welcoming, approachable, engaging, extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter, and graciously offered personal insights. His passion for Georgia’s history and love for the nation is evident. For high-quality content and an amazing guide on a private tour, the pricing is an exceptional value. This was an overall unforgettable and truly special experience!

Highly recommend this tour! Zezva was my guide. Turned out I was the only person on the tour that day so basically a private tour for me. We visited the old printing house, Bank of Georgia building, Chronicles of Georgia, old Archaeology museum and Soviet era residential building. Of the many tours I had here, I would say this has been the best. Zezva was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Georgia’s Soviet past. Again, would recommend whoever that is interested in history or Soviet history to take this tour.
Whether you are interested in architecture or not this tour will definitely hit you. Giorgi is very friendly, funny and educated. Thank you very much, it was the best tour I ever experienced!
David was a fantastic tour guide. His knowledge and professionalism was next to none and we had a great time! He really made my trip to Tbilisi! I saw a side of it I absolutely wouldn’t have otherwise. I highly recommend this tour, and David in particular.
Great day trip with Temo looking at Soviet Era artefacts in Tbilisi and also learning about the soviet history in the city and the country. Very insightful!
This tour is a must when visiting Tbilisi—not only does it takes you through Soviet history, but it also explores local legends, the city’s old and modern way of life, architectural buildings, and stunning sights across different parts of the city. After the tour, I gained a much deeper understanding of Tbilisi’s past and how it has shaped the city today. A special mention goes to the guide, Giorgi, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. He provided fascinating insights into life under Communism and how locals experienced and resisted it over the years.
Excellent tour! My guide Temo was very knowledgeable and I learned so much about Georgia. Very interesting afternoon and I got to see lots of beautiful views of Tbilisi and the surrounding areas.
Brilliant tour - most interesting thing we did in Tbilisi! Giorgi was great - extremely knowledgable and informative about Georgia's Soviet past, and the spectacular architecture of that era. Great opportunity to explore off the beaten path of the main tourist sites.
