Taipei: Street Food Tour in Historic District, with 12+ Tasters

Dave was great — he made excellent choices, knew the best food stalls/vendors, told about the history of the streets, temples, markets, and other buildings as we walked, explained the foods (ingredients and preparation), and was open and friendly when discussing life in Taipei and his personal background and experiences. I highly recommend this tour!

One of the best highlights of my time in Taiwan. We ate where locals truly eat, standing by outdoor kitchens and small stalls hidden in busy alleys. The food was incredible, but what made it truly special was understanding the culture behind it, how people eat the way they do here. I left completely full, happy, and feeling like I understood Taipei on a much deeper level. Would 100% do this again. Very recommended!

It was a magic experience! I went my my 1.5 year old son and husband and we had so much fun, our guide was super knowledgeable and I really felt I learnt a lot and could appreciate the local cosine....it might be a cliché but for us the highlight was having someone help us try stinky tofu.....which was surprisingly...good!!

It was a really immersive experience! As I arrived I feared what is safe to eat what should I look out for, but I was pleasantly surprised by how many flavours Taipei has to offery not even mentioning the wonderful guides that made the experience truly unforgettable!

We did this tour in December 2025 with a small group of friends from Europe and it was the highlight of our time in Taipei. relaxed vibe, and a guide who actually knew what they were talking about (and clearly loves food). We tried a solid mix of classic Taiwanese street food and lesser-known local spots where you’d never randomly walk into on your own. Everything felt very local, not staged or touristy. And yes, THAT stinky tofu is a MUST-HAVE, ultimate dope!! Nice pacing, plenty of food (come hungry), and a fun walk through Datong in between tastings. You get full, learn a lot without trying too hard, and leave with a better feel for the city. Would absolutely recommend if you like food and want a genuine local experience.

A knowledgeable guide, lots of excellent (and sometimes quite unusual) food, and a visit to a lesser-known night market.
