View on Google MapsFantastic day on the Gordon River and learning the history of the area, the river and Sarah Island. Informative video running inside on large screens. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. A particular mention for a super lunch - airlines could learn a lot from what was served. Highly recommend.
It’s definitely worth doing. The boat is very clean and tidy. The staff are lovely. It was good value for money.
Cosy, relaxed atmosphere, lots of info, super service (good food), worth seeing nature and all in very good weather.
This was a great experience while visiting Strahan. We had Sarah from the Round Earth Co. who do the play in the evening as our guide on Sarah Island. Definitely recommend doing the play in the evening after the cruise.
Excellent customer service! From getting the onboard ticket, greeting and sitting, landing and touring, captain is so nice to broadcast , answer the question and take a photo with him!
When in Tassie if you're seeking a majestic experience - then you must do a Gordon River cruise out of Strahan. The cruise from the boat (Harbour Master ll), seating, staff both at the reception & onboard to the 6hour cruise in now an etched memory for me. The Gordon River & its surrounds are pristine in beauty - but it all comes with history & stories dating back to the convicts arriving in the 1820s'. This trip is a must do. I'll be returning again.
Our kids gifted us this cruise for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had no idea what to expect It was incredible! We loved every minute, the seating arrangements, the cleanliness of the catamaran, the friendly, helpful staff, the interesting commentary, the lunch provided and the amazing surrounds with all the natural beauty!! We learnt about the penal colony on Sarah's island and the Huon pine logging history. Highly recommend this trip to everyone!! Thankyou World Heritage Cruises!!
Fantastic day out with a brilliant crew and lots of historical information. Lunch was delicious and very filling. Coffee and tea cost extra.
Excellent cruise with plenty of commentary about the areas history comfortable chairs and the meal provided was very good There is plenty of room to move round the boat with great viewing areas on each deck the stops and the island and the nature walk are well aorth doing as you learn more about our convict history All staff very friendly and helpful
If you’re interested in European settlement history with a good dollop of First Nation history, conservation history, then you will really enjoy this tour.
