View on Google MapsBeautiful, the guide Hajnal was very good, he explained the history of the glacier. He left us time to take pictures and enjoy the wonder of this place! Truly unique!
Cancelled because of high winds. I will have to come back again in the months of May, June or July. Thanks
Our original 5 hour tour was scheduled for the prior day but was cancelled by high winds. Although, we ended up rebooking it the back office was unresponsive for several hours resulting considerable uncertainty on our part as to how to re-arrange our remaining plans. In the end it was all fixed to our satisfaction. Ana, our tour guide, was great and helped my wife with the descent when her ankle acted up. Experiencing the glacier up close made for a very memorable experience.

First ever glacier hike — 5 hours on the ice and I survived! 🥶😂 Huge shoutout to our amazing guide Stella 💙 She was so passionate and patient, helping beginners like me every step of the way. She even used her ice axe to make little paths so we could walk easier. Plus, she showed us stunning views that made every slip and wobble worth it. 10/10 would do it again! ⛰️✨
A magnificent experience in an amazing setting. Our guide (from the Czech Republic) very attentive, helpful, nice, providing interesting explanations of the place
We had a super fun time with Troll on the 5 hour glacier hike on Skaftafell! Ana was an excellent guide and we had such a fun group (8 of us) that we really clicked with. Each group started together on the mountain and ended up going different routes, so it made it feel more private than being on a huge tour with other tourists. When you arrive to Troll it's a bit unclear what you're supposed to do- make sure you arrive early to get fitted with crampons and gear, and use the bathroom before you leave! It's a quick bus ride to the drop site, then a 20 minute walk or so from the car park up to the trailhead (feels way longer on the way back)! The pace was doable and despite never having hiked with crampons on ice before, we felt comfortable and safe the entire trip. Do not skip this tour- you're shorting yourself by taking the shorter hike!! The glacier is incredible. Make sure to wear layers since it can get pretty warm hiking up!
Exceptional hike with all the appropriate explanations. Clear weather for us and we climbed very high. 6.5 kms with 400 ascent. Thank you Anna it was impeccable. 👍🏼
From start to finish this experience was amazing! Everything was nicely organized and planned out. The tour guide was very informative and kind. We had a breathtaking experience and would recommend to others!
I can absolutely recommend the 5 hour glacier tour. You go a lot higher than at the 3 hour trip and that makes it extra special. You have a beautiful view over the many crevices and the exceptional shapes of the ice. Our guide Filip did an excellent job: he had an eye for each participant and knew how to tell fascinating stories. Highly recommended!
Amazing guides making the experience very enjoyable. It was raining and cloudy, which could have really dampened the experience - but it was completely unique and a lot of interesting views- like most things in the area this was very popular in the summer, so it did feel a bit like grand central station on the glacier, but once we got higher the crowds thinned, which I was grateful for.
