Before you can plunge into the fascinating world of glaciers, you will be driven in an off-road truck over a bumpy track through the beauty of the nature reserve. Hold on tight! When you arrive at the glacier, you will receive a helmet and crampons and set off on foot in less than 10 minutes. You will receive lots of interesting information about the area and the glacier. And then... Wow! An indescribable natural spectacle! Over 40 meters of blue ice stretch above you - a real natural wonder! At the end of the tour, you can even climb the glacier. We had such an amazing time on our ice cave tour. We were lucky to be the only ones booked in for this tour. Our guide, Mike, was really nice, very knowledgeable. We could not have imagined a better experience in these caves. Mike, and Glacier Journey, made it truly unforgettable, and a true highlight of our Iceland road trip! 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
