We took this cooking class to learn how to make dim sum from A to Z we made dough and stuffing as well as folding. Very good experience and an incredibly nice host I recommend
We had a wonderful experience making soupy dumplings in Yins kitchen. She was lovely and told us everything we need to know to make them at home. While we were cooking she talked about her life in China which made it an even more special experience. Thank you for this memory!

What a great class! Teacher Yin is a wonderful instructor. We loved learning to make dumplings from scratch - dough, filling and all. The bonus tea ceremony while the dough rested was a lovely touch, and we enjoyed learning about tea history. Yin was also very thoughtful in providing the vegan option for us. She's a lovely person and a fantastic host. A truly memorable experience in Shanghai!
What a fun class! Yin was so welcoming and shared so much information about soup dumplings and guided us step by step how to make them. She was very helpful when I asked questions on how to better make the folds in the dough. She was also very thoughtful about giving instructions to the location and an overall amazing host. Thoroughly enjoyed our class.
Fun experience! My 15 year-old nephew and I really enjoyed learning how to make vegan dumplings. Enjoyable!
Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Lots of fun and delicious. Yin is very talented and was a fantastic host, we highly recommend this experience.
Highly recommend this Xiaolongbao soup dumpling cooking class! Chef Yin is an excellent cook who does a great job of teaching and providing hands-on cooking experience to participants. She is also engaging and personable and throughout the class, it was great to hear stories about China and Chinese culture and really get a deeper understanding of the country that we were visiting. Chef Yin can also customize cooking classes for you depending on what Chinese food you want to learn how to make, which is great because my son and husband like specific Chinese dishes that I can learn how to make.
Yin is a fun, friendly and super skilled teacher who welcomes you in her lovely lane house in the heart of Shanghai. She will introduce you to the art of Chinese dumplings making (all explanations are in English) and you’ll spend a couple of hours trying to master this traditional technique and then enjoying the delicious dumpling you’ve prepared with your own hands! Absolutely great experience and nice opportunity to take a sneak peek into traditional Chinese cuisine. I’ve been there a few times and always loved it!
We loved this soup dumpling workshop! Yin was so patient and guided us step by step in the process, and our dumplings all came out juicy and steamy. (I was a bit nervous because soup dumpling seem so delicate and I'm not much of a cook). She's very passionate about sharing Chinese cuisine and speaks good English. Also really enjoyed our small group and the cute lane house location in the former French concession.
