View on Google MapsThe two sympathetic archaeologists were very competent, explained vividly and interestingly. They picked us up on time and took a lot of time to answer questions, gave us the opportunity to take pictures and browse the museum shop. It was an advantage for us to receive a personal tour for two from Bianca and Gerardo.
Excellent adventure. Our guides were exceptional and answered every question we had. We would absolutely recommend this experience.
We had such a great time! Our guides were so knowledgeable (both were trained archeologists with expertise in the late stone age through early bronze age in the Alentejo) and so it was incredible getting the inside scoop into the broader prehistoric context for the region as a whole. Since we didn't have a car, the hotel pickup/drop-off was also very much appreciated... we even got a great recommendation for dinner that evening. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Excellent tour with two very knowledgeable tour guides. Learned some fascinating history about the monoliths and also about cork farming.
Loved it! The tour was led by two archeologists who imparted lots of knowledge about Neolithic Portugal. It was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend.
This tour is a wonderful way to spend a thoroughly different half-day while staying in Évora. Bianca and Gonçalo will collect you from your hotel and take you into the countryside, educating you the whole time. They are knowledgeable, professional and good company. Only six guests will fit in the van, so the group size will always be manageable. We went with two Canadians and an American and had enjoyable conversations as we drove and walked. The ancient sites are magnificent, mysterious and well worth a visit.
Very kind and exceptionally well informed guides as they are archaeologists! The sites themselves are great to see Much know but much still a mystery
The sites are very cool and interesting on their own, but the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for their historical significance that the guides provided pushed this over the top. Highly recommend.
Bianca and Gonzalo were great hosts. Very knowledgeable in their fields, they were able to answer all the questions, and provided good insights about what is known and known sbout ghe stones.
Bianca and her partner run a private tour company. She is an archeologist and it showed, with her passion and objectivity. These 7,000 year old monoliths were fascinating to see and ponder their purpose. Highly recommended
