View on Google MapsJinny was amazing! The class was so fun and educational to suit all abilities. Jinny and her husband were so accommodating and kind. So delicious and insightful we really couldn’t recommend it more! <3
Can't believe I forgot to review this. Jiny was great. Such an upbeat teacher. She kept us moving through our dishes while taking photos and videos so we could concentrate on our cooking. We experienced cooking bibmbop, bulgogi, glass noodles, kimchi pancakes and more. Then we all sat down to eat! She emailed us the recipes so we could make these dishes at home. After, we went on a tour ot the streets and alleys around the cooking school. We learned a lot about the life of a Korean as well as their food. It was a fun experience!
For our friend's birthday she wanted to take a Korean cooking class and this one stood out to her and I can understand why. Jiny is amazing and such a knowledgeable chef. She gives us a cultural presentation first about the story/meaning behind each dish. She's so kind and made us feel so welcomed. She found out it was my friend's birthday and she put together a little birthday treat for her! Jiny really went above and beyond! She was very clear with her instructions and we loved her positive attitude! I definitely recommend taking a cooking class with Jiny. If she ever has other classes with different dish options to make I would definitely take her class again!
I had the absolute pleasure of attending Jiny’s cooking class and it was thee highlights of my Seoul trip especially as a foodie! Not only is Jiny so knowledgeable and proud of the food she creates, she made the class fun from start to finish. We made several delicious dishes and I loved them all! I also appreciated that she shared a lot about Korean food culture while taking the time to get to know us individually. It’s a small class size which is perfect as she’s able to support us through each step. Because it was my birthday she prepared me a surprise treat and we sang happy birthday in Korean! Such a memorable moment. Thank you Jiny! The way she taught us to make japchae was delicious, fast, and better than anything I’ve ever found online! It’s a 3+ hour class so plan accordingly. It’s well worth it and I had the best time!
I spent a wonderful morning solo with the ray of sunshine that is Jiny. I was amazed when she told me she had taught herself English because she was so fluent and we had a really meaningful time together cooking and talking. I've done other cookery schools in Asia now and I can honestly say Jiny's was the best. The food was so tasty and delicious and she was so knowledgable about the history and ingedients of each dish. I had a lot of questions and Jiny had all the answers I wanted and more. I picked up some hacks that I will use in the future as I cook all the dishes for my family at home. Jiny's love of Korean food is infectious and even though I was already a big fan of the cuisine I love it so much more after making these dishes together. A really special memory of my time in Seoul. The hidden alley tour was fun too.
Jiny is wonderful—I’d absolutely recommend her class to anyone interested in learning about Korean cuisine. She’s passionate about cooking and truly dedicated to educating her guests. She takes her time to guide you through each step and explains the meaning and purpose behind every ingredient. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy a fun, immersive culinary experience.
It was an excellent experience, jeny was perfect teacher very helpful and she explained everything in a very simple clear way
What a delightful experience!! First of all, Jiny is a dream. Her 2nd floor cooking studio is charming with a dining table and decently sized stations for about 10. I don’t cook, but with Jiny’s guidance I somehow made the best bulgogi bibimbap I had in Korea and also learned techniques that will absolutely let me replicate the sauce and kimchi pancake at home. It was raining the day of my class, everybody else opted out the tour of the nearby neighborhood, but the walk with Jiny ended up being a highlight of my trip. I learned about some speakeasy bars and coffee shops and 24 hour honor code vintage shops.
This was the absolute best thing we did in Seoul! The experience was so personal and the food we made was incredible. We felt like we were in our in someone’s home. Everything was explained beautifully and there was so much food to eat. Jinny couldn’t have been kinder . The alley tour after was the icing on the cake. Take this tour!!!
Jiny is a great instructor and host. She made sure everybody understood the steps while being entertaining. The tour through the neighborhood was a nice touch to end the class.
