View on Google MapsAn excellent experience with Park - a fantastic host. Learnt new recipes and cooking ideas, as well as lots of different flavours and oils. An authentic time in a typical traditional Korean Hanok in a fabulous part of Seoul - thanks once again.
The location is excelent, The recipes, the cooking, the whole atmosphare was great! I strongly recommend to visit! Ricky, The host shared many interesting information about food & culinary habits of Korea.
I enjoyed both cooking sessions at the Royal Seoul Cooking Class. Our cooking instructor, Park Gyeobmyeon, was lovely and a great instructor, incorporating history, and storytelling all into a wonderful cooking experience. The location of the cooking school offers its own charms and fascinating history. The combination offers a lovely culinary experience and one unique and enjoyable time in Seoul South Korea.
This was the best thing we did in Seoul. The instructor was welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Loved the food and made new friends
Great! Interesting and enjoyable. Good insight into Korean culture both old and modern. Lovely traditional house. Friendly, intelligent host with perfect English.
Park was both a skilled chef and excellent host who gave many insights into Korean cuisine, history and culture. We had a fantastic evening chatting, cooking and eating delicious food.
My wife and I had a wonderful time here. We love to do classes like this when we travel, to meet people and gain some new cooking experiences. The location is great—it is a very intimate traditional Hanok tucked behind a modern hotel. The class size is very limited, which I personally like. Ricky is an excellent teacher and he cultivates a relaxed, fun and informative atmosphere in the class. He speaks excellent English and has a great sense of how to get conversations started and make everyone feel at ease. The dishes we made were all quite easy and delicious, and I feel confident that we’ll be able to make them on our own which is important. The price is very fair for the quality of the experience, especially considering the amount of dishes we made. It ended up being enough food that we were hardly hungry even for dinner later that evening. Afterwards, Ricky pointed us towards Inseok-dong Hanok Village which was literally across the street from the class. To be honest, I had never heard of it before as it somehow wasn’t on my Seoul radar (I now gather that it is a pretty major tourist spot); it was well worth visiting, though, and I highly recommend taking this class and then checking out the rest of the Hanok village!
Great way to continue cooking with my daughter especially when the food turns out so tasty. Had a great time getting to know everyone involved in the experience
This experience was incredible! I would 100% recommend to anyone traveling through Seoul. The food we made was incredible and I learned a ton. Park was an amazing host/instructor and made the entire evening so fun!!
The location is down the stairs behind the hotel. We arrived early and Ricky welcomed us in and made us feel like old friends. We put on slippers and met others from the class and really enjoyed the company. We made multiple courses and everything was absolutely delicious. I was sad when it ended because it was so much more than just a cooking class. It was well paced, the ingredients were flavorful, Ricky was encouraging and patient and afterwards he even walked us to a nearby village to explore further. When I go back to Seoul I will definitely book this class again!
