View on Google MapsThis was hands down one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in Sedona. I booked a private tour not really knowing what to expect, but it ended up being so much more than just sightseeing. We explored some beautiful spots (including Doe Mountain and Boynton Canyon), but what really stood out was the depth of the experience itself. My guide took the time to slow things down — we talked about life, purpose, philosophy, and even did some meditation. It felt grounding in a way that’s hard to describe. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t scripted, and it didn’t feel touristy. It felt human. The photos were amazing, the locations were stunning, and the overall energy of the day was calm and restorative. I came to Sedona needing a reset, and this tour delivered exactly that. If you’re someone who values meaningful conversation, reflection, and actually feeling a place instead of just checking off landmarks, I can’t recommend this enough. Worth every dollar.
Matt was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the hike! He knew so much about the park and the area. He checked in with us prior to meeting.

We had a lovely hike with Kent. It was so great to have such a knowledgeable guide to learn about the geography, plant life and history of Red Rocks Park. We also got some great tips for exploring on our own that we would not have found without Kent’s directions.
This was a highlight of our time in Sedona. What we expected was a wonderful hike with glorious views. That was absolutely delivered. What we didn't expect was Andrea as our guide--both of Sedona and in conversation. Her ability to tie the beautiful vistas to larger themes was thought-provoking. My wife and I left the evening with our cups filled. Thank you to Andrea and Sedona Philosophy. Can't wait to come back. Julie and Allen
What an amazing experience my team and I had on our philosophy hike with Andrea! Andrea was absolutely amazing from the moment we started. Giving us all the opportunity to introduce ourselves, explain our positions and our goals and dreams for not only our company but personal lives as well. She took the time to stop and answer questions, take pictures and keep us on track! 10/10 recommend booking a tour.
If you’re looking for more than just stunning views in Sedona - this is it! I had the privilege of being guided by Andrea, a philosopher turned trail guide with a gift for asking the kind of questions that gently stir your soul. What started as a hike quickly became something deeper—a walking meditation, a heart-opening conversation. Andrea didn’t just guide me through Sedona’s landscapes; she guided me through my inner terrain. Her wisdom, warmth, and presence made this experience unforgettable. If you feel even the smallest nudge to explore Sedona in a way that’s soulful and reflective, don’t hesitate. This isn’t just a tour—it’s a journey into yourself.
Had a great time getting a scenic hike with our guide, Matt. He taught us a lot in a casual, relaxed way. It was an easy hike and very peaceful.
We went on a night hike to see the stars of Sedona. Matt did a great job with everything from start to finish and was extremely knowledgable about astronomy and loved talking about philosophy. He was well equipped with red light flashlights and a laser pointer to show the stars. The moon was about 4 days from full so it intruded a bit on the star light ad amount of stars we saw, but how can you complain about the moon... right? I was a solo traveler and had never met Matt before and felt very comfortable with him on the night hike from 7:30pm-10pm. Thank you!!!!!
I chose the Moonlight hike which corresponded with my desire to be out at night but with a guide. I was not disappointed and would recommend a Philosophy tour for others. Matt was an excellent guide and offered just the right amount of information as I never felt there was a script or ongoing dialogue as with other guides. His combination of philosophy, history, and the night sky was on point as well as his familiarity with the area and ability to answer any questions. Good conversations and interaction. The night sky is aways an amazing sight and this is a perfect way to experience it in a true dark sky area. You will not be disappointed!
Had the most wonderful hike with Andrea. She knew exactly where to go to avoid the chaos of holiday travelers but still see the most beautiful views of Sedona.
