View on Google MapsWe had a great day touring Valparaíso and visiting a winery in Casablanca with Paloma. She was very flexible and showed us all the main street art spots and viewpoints in Valparaíso in a really efficient way. Lunch at Tres Peces was a fantastic pick. Paloma was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience easy and fun.
Josefina was out tour guide and we had a wonderful experience! She was very knowledgeable and provided a wonderful tour. We visited Las Santiago (Nerudas house) and then a walking tour of the street art in Valparaiso. She timed things perfectly for lunch and avoiding the funicular ticket lines. Would highly recommend for private tour!
We spent two days with the team from Ecordua. The first was to visit wineries and the second was to do a walking tour of Valparaiso followed by a wonderful lunch at a beautiful winery. Both days our tour guides were excellent. We enjoyed both tours and would highly recommend Ecordua. From our initial contact to the tours themselves, everything was excellent. I wish I had also used them for a Santiago walking tour. Again, I highly recommend Ecordua for all your travel needs in Santiago.
We had the good fortune to book a day trip from Santiago with Joaquin as our personal guide to the sites of Valparaiso, Chile. What a difference a dedicated and knowledgable guide makes! We were treated to a wonderfully educational day which covered the geography, culture, politics, food and ecology of this intriguing area and city. Beginning with a foundational visit to Pablo Neruda's house, through the Port and into the hills and varied neighborhoods of Valparaiso Joaquin guided us pointing out nooks and details that most tourists probably never see, including a delicious lunch at a small local sustainable seafood restaurant. Truly the best way to experience what is a challenging city to explore on one's own. We only regret that we didn't have time to have him guide us around Santiago as well. One would be hard-pressed to find a better way to get a taste of Valparaiso than this very full day with a wonderful guide.
I booked this trip the day before and it was easy. Got a text from our guide, Sebastian and we were picked up from my hotel in Santiago. Sebastian was very knowledgeable and very passionate about his country. We wandered around the beautiful streets of Valparaiso, met some artists and jewelry makers and learnt some more history. In the afternoon we went for lunch at Vina - Casas Del Bosque and were spoilt with wonderful food, wines and the service was impeccable. We headed back to Santiago and dropped back at our hotel. Thank you Ecordua and Sebastian for a wonderful day.
It was a great tour and Joaquin who was our guide was amazing and super flexible. Valparaiso was a great city to walk around with great views, bright colours and funky buildings
Awesome experience. Our guide Joachim was very knowledgeable about the area and knew the city well. We had an excellent walking tour of Valparaiso ending with an awesome picnic on the sand dunes of Concon. He had packed a nice picnic for us with cheese, wine, grapes, etc. He even took photos of us using his own iPhone and airdropped all the photos to us at the end to document our experience. Overall an excellent experience. I highly recommend this tour.
Both Joaquin and Camila were wonderful to deal with - prompt, accommodating and informative. Joaquin led our tour and is clearly passionate about his country and sharing his knowledge with others. He made great suggestions for how we might enjoy our day in Valparaiso - which we did very much. Had I had more time in Santiago I would have loved to do a horse riding tour - it will have to be for next time!
We had the pleasure to go on two tours with Joaquin to Valparaiso and the Maipo Valley. Joaquin is a professional guide who is courteous, kind, and speaks English extremely well. Also important in Chile is that he is an excellent driver and has a comfortable, safe SUV. He is well-versed in Chilean history, as well as current events, and knows the ins and outs of everywhere we visited. For example, in Valparaiso, we got behind a large tour group, but Joaquin was able to take us on an alternate route to avoid this, saving us time and allowing a more pleasant experience in the process. He is well acquainted with unique and trendy shops and we ended up purchasing unique items even though we hadn’t planned on shopping (he didn’t pressure us into this, he just knows better quality shops than what you find in the market pr could locate on your own). He thinks through your expectations and plans very well what can be included to optimize your time and ensure you have a special and memorable day. The communication (via WhatsApp or email) to arrange the tour was punctual and exactly what you’d want and expectl Upon payment, an email is sent to confirm the booking with a reminder message also sent the night before. Lastly, he has a good read of couples to adapt your tour to be with you the entire time or to allow you privacy (for example at vineyard tours or restaurants). We can’t recommend him highly enough and will refer family and friends to him!
We loved our 2 day tours - we did a day tour in Valparaiso one day and Santiago one day. Joaquin was an excellent host and guide. Valparaiso was beautiful, historical and had awesome street art. The winery lunch was lovely and accommodated to dietary requirements. We particularly loved our day out in Santiago, what a city! We got to see so many things in one day (and at height!), seeing different suburbs, viewpoints, art and sculptures and so much more. It was a Monday so some things were closed but also meant crowds were less. Would highly recommend.
