This was so fun. Valentina was very nice and had a good sense of humor. She went thru everything as we prepared the filling and dough. It was so fun to actually fold the dough in 4 different shapes. After they were baked we got to eat them and take a few home. Worth the time and money. Also met 4 young people who also had a great time.
Valentina was amazing and so knowledgeable. We had a great time with our group and learning the different techniques. This is such a unique experience that feels authentic since it is taught by a local. Highly recommend!! :)

This was a wonderful experience! Valentina was a gracious, knowledgeable, and experienced host. We were so excited to take this class and it didn’t disappoint. It was a true, hands-on class, not a demonstration. We learned about the history of Chilean empanadas, the most important elements, and especially how to make the masa (dough). Chilean empanadas are unique and absolutely delicious. Don’t miss this terrific, authentic Chilean experience!
A huge recommendation for anyone interested in authentic chilean culture. Valentina, the Hostess is super heartly, funny, well-informed, happy to help and very clear as well as patient with her instructions. These were also probably the best Empanadas of my life.
Our empenada class was wonderful!! Valentina gave very clear instructions and explained each step clearly. Her explanation of how to make the dough and why it reacts the way it does was very cool and informative (also what other ways we could use it as well). The traditional filling was flavorful and moist. She also had an option of eggplant for vegetarian. She showed us several different ways to seal our empenadas ranging from simple to complex. We will now be able to impress even the most experienced when we go home (and we live in Texas where we have a variety). She was very sweet and funny! We had an amazing time together with her and our family. We highly recommend!! She was hospitable and personable. She made the experience relaxing and made us feel like we were at a family members house. If we could give more than 5 starts we would! We even have extra empenadas to enjoy tomorrow!
Valentina was an amazing host with plenty of knowledge about her country’s history and the making of traditional Chilean Pine Empenadas. Absolutely beautiful food and thoroughly recommend the experience.
Valentina you are such a good host and teacher! Favourite activity in Santiago! Yummy empanadas! Great small group activity! An activity for young and older to enjoy! Valentina shared lots of information about Chile, Santiago and around the world!
Excellent experience, the class was small, and you get to do the whole process. Its byob, water is available. I brought beer which was able to be stored in fridge.
Great experience. Highly recommend. Valentina is super friendly and her grandmothers empanada recipe is both easy and tasty
