View on Google MapsWe had a great time. Chico and his crew took care of us, and the horses were very well taken care of and trained. We didn’t know anything about horses, but that didn’t matter. Such a great and special day! Strongly recommend.
We booked the Horseback Riding Tour in San Pedro La Laguna and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Pickup was included from the Hotel, which made the start of the day easy. The only negative point of the tour is the use of public boat transportation to cross Lake Atitlán to reach San Pedro La Laguna. The public boat is not included in the tour price (USD $3.00 per person), and you also have to wait until the boat is full of passengers before it departs, which can cause some delays. Once in San Pedro, the horseback riding experience was excellent. The horse guide took us through the mountains with beautiful views. The horses are very well trained, clearly know their job, and made the ride feel safe at all times. I never felt unsafe during the tour, and the scenery was amazing. Overall, it’s a great experience, especially if you enjoy nature, mountain views, and a relaxed horseback ride.

Such a fun activity in San Pedro. Good to see more of the town and then the views along the trail are amazing. Horses were very well trained and easy to ride with little to no experience. Good value too.
Myself and my girlfriend had 0 horse riding experience. The horses were so well trained and the guide, Jose, was so amazing that we rode for hours through the bustling streets of San Pedro and then through trails in the jungle. Something I thought absolutely not possible with our lack of experience which is a real testament to Jose and the horses (Synthia and Mariposa). Definitely the best thing we’ve done in Guatemala!!
Did not have riding horses around a volcano on my bucket list but it was easily one of my favorite things I’ve done this year.
Very fun ride even for a beginner like me! The horses we rode were super friendly and smart. Going up the volcano was at first scary but you can trust the horses. I recommend wearing bug spray and sun block.
My sister and I went on this together and we had a lot of fun! We are both experienced riders and we were worried that this would just be a walk to the destination/walk back type of tour, but we were pleasantly surprised and even able to canter for parts of it! Our guide was very sweet and very attentive to his horses - he checked for stones and checked the riding equipment every time we stopped. It says that the guide will be able to speak both English and Spanish - our guide only spoke Spanish, so we were lucky that we knew Spanish and could communicate with him. One negative, the price is similar to what I would pay in the US and our ride only lasted 1hr and 45min from start to finish instead of the 3hours and 10minutes that are promised. We chalked it up to the fact that we were more experienced and just probably finished the tour faster, but it ended up being a very expensive under-2-hour ride. :( We also did not go to a beach like is mentioned in the description, and the "coffee plantation" is just a small field in the middle of the streets of San Pedro lol.
I loved this horse back riding experience around trails along Lake Atitlan. The horses were easy to ride and the views were beautiful from the trail. I especially appreciated our guide, Jose who was very friendly.
Amazing! A must-do if in San Pedro. Worth every penny. I recommend this to anyone. No experience needed.
It was worth the money and jt was an amazing experience. It was safe, and our travel guides were so nice, patient and informative. Our guide Victor went above and beyond with picking us up for our horseback ride and even helping me back to my air bnb.
