View on Google MapsOn recommendation from another traveller, we booked with Edwin and were so very satisfied with the services he provided for us. Edwin responded quickly to our queries and communicated well the entirety of our time with him. He is friendly, experienced and very knowledgeable of his country and the wonderful history, adventures and experience you can have in Belize. We booked transportation from the Cayes to San Ignacio and Edwin was right on time meeting our water ferry with his clean and comfortable vehicle. We did several tours in the San Ignacio area which were also right on time and well done. (His mom makes a delicious lunch for one of these adventures!) The other guide, Francisco who works alongside Edwin was also excellent and certainly showed to us his love of his beautiful country. Edwin also transported us from SI to Placencia again, right on time and in a comfortable vehicle. We would nightly recommend Edwin and Edwin’s Belize Adventure Tours. T&L Los Angeles, California
We chose Edwin as our guide based upon the wonderful reviews we read. Edwin lived up to his reputation. He was always prompt and courteous. We were able to customize our tour without any problems. He shuttled us from the airport to our lodging, took us on 3 days of area tours, explained the Mayan history of the area to us, pointed out things we would have never noticed on our own, fed us an authentic Belizean lunch that his mother made, let us have free time to explore, always had water bottles along, then shuttled us to the water taxi for the beach part of our trip. His vehicles were clean, ran well, and had good air conditioning. His staff were very courteous, dressed well, and drove safely. If you are going to San Ignacio, I highly recommend Edwin.

Edwin and his team are very knowledgeable and professional. We enjoyed every single activity we did with them: Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, ATM, Barton Creek and Tikal.
Edwin drove us from the airport to San Ignacio, providing great information and teaching us the history, culture, and social customs of the country and villages. He also arranged for tours of the ATM CAVE (Francisco was a terrific cave guide, ensuring our safety was number one. Francisco was patient and extremely knowledgeable about the cave, Mayan history, and more). Edwin also brought us a delicious lunch to eat after the three hour cave tour. Day 2, Edwin arranged for and drove us to a horse stable for horseback riding through the jungle into town where we ate at a local restaurant before climbing the hills to Xunantunich. Edwin walked with us, providing great details of the history of the Mayans and the actual ruins we were walking around. He is a wealth of information! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Edwin’s Belize Adventure Tours.
Went to ATM Cave with family. Edwin arranged everything and we were so grateful for a knowledgeable guide. Lunch afterwards was fantastic. Hassle free and kids are still taking about the adventure.
Edwin and his staff are amazing. Everyone is well trained and do such a great job of communicating knowledge for each adventure. Everyone goes out of there way to ensure a great day. We have traveled a lot but have never had guides better than Edwin and his staff. Thanks!
My wife and I stayed in San Ignacio for a week to explore the Cayo area. We first booked a trip to the ATM caves with our hotel and Edwin provided the services. After traveling with him we decided to book a trip to Caracol and Big Rock Falls. Edwin was super knowledgeable about the history of the Mayans, natural aspects of the jungle including the geography, plants and wildlife. We also had a terrific lunch that his family prepared. He took us to the local church on Sunday, then we had a wonderful breakfast at a local cafe, toured the Cahal Pech ruins and Iguana sanctuary. He even took us to the local sports bar to watch Super Bowl 57. He was very conscientious keeping us comfortable and safe. I highly recommend Edwin’s services.
We spent a fabulous 3 days with Edwin doing a variety of activities as he customized tours for myself, my wife and our two teenage children (ages 13 and 15). Edwin is personable, articulate, and highly experienced. He is very knowledgeable about Mayan history and nature, clearly does a lot of reading on his own and looks stuff up, out of his own sense of curiosity, when he doesn't know the answer to a question. He has a special passion for Mayan history, and on Day 1, he took us through the Xunantunich Mayan ruins and Cahal Pech ruins; we highly recommend a guide for these ruins as you'll get a lot more out of it by understanding the history and meaning of the excavations. We had expressed an interest in seeing and learning about wildlife, including insects, and so Edwin took extra time to point out wildlife on this tour, identifying interesting trees and their agricultural purposes, leaf-cutter ants (getting the soldier ants to come out of their nest so my son could see them), swallow nests, iguanas, and basilisks (aka Jesus Christ lizards). On Day 2, he customized a kayak experience for us at just the right degree of difficulty, identifying potential hazards (e.g. spiny bamboo on the side of the river that could poke you), finding swimming holes, howler monkeys, iguanas, bats, and many interesting birds. On Day 3, we went to the Belize zoo and on a cave tubing experience. The cave tubing was incredible. The walk to the starting point was interesting and pleasant. The cave itself was fascinating, and he took us to a part of the cave that is ignored by most tour guides but is perhaps the best part, where we could jump off a small ledge, explore an alternate cave exit that was photographed in National Geographic and see some evidence of Mayan presence, Although we had not thought it necessary to have a guide at the Belize zoo and had gone with him mostly so that he could be there for cave tubing, it actually turned out to be a much better experience to have him at the zoo too. We chose to use our own vehicle for these tours, except for the kayaking day where he provided the van. However, he is versatile and can drive/provide a vehicle if needed. He can also hook you up with other tour guides if he doesn't have the right degree of expertise (e.g. for specialized bird touring), and he won't try to take something on himself if one of his people or a colleague is better suited.
GO WITH EDWIN!!! There isn’t enough room to fully describe how fantastic it was to have him guiding us (and driving, teaching, laughing with, helping, sharing stories with and coordinating things for us!) Edwin is knowledgeable beyond words on Mayan culture and historic and present affairs in Belize and neighboring countries. He is kind, professional, and a pleasure to spend time with. We learned so much, and appreciated his patience with children (he has 2 of his own!), great ideas for lunch (and bathroom!) breaks, grocery stops, and most of all the magnificent caves, ruins, and roads from coast to inland jungle. Have to give a big thank you to his mom for her cooking too! It was our favorite meal of the trip. If Edwin’s not available, find a time to go when he is! (We are a family of four with 2 preteen girls. We traveled internationally for a year when they were younger, and appreciated many drivers and guides. Edwin is absolutely one of the best.) We can’t wait to go back to Belize.
