Private tour of Salalah with Mahmoud. Arriving at the mosque around 9:30 we avoided tourists! We were my daughter and I alone with Mahmoud in the women’s prayer room. We asked for explanations about the Koran and Mahmoud took the time to read us passages: it was a very nice moment of sharing and exchange of knowledge. A rare chance that this moment! The visit to the museum of incense and Omani history is worth a visit: models of boats navigation instruments history of the incense trade. A small museum full of explanations. A nice stop to taste coconut banana mango and papaya! Then we went to the souk where we could buy charcoal burner incense kits for 1 rial: unbeatable price, perfume based on mesmerizing Salalah roses.
