View on Google MapsI had an amazing experience with Mauro today. It was a perfect day where we biked all around Quito and saw some of the best sights all while riding our bikes through the busy streets. Mauro was knowledgeable, kind and very personable. I learned so many things about Quito and its history and enjoyed our little stops to try local drinks, chocolate’s and to digest the wonderful views. The bike ride itself was moderately hard, with some difficult hills, but Mauro paced the ride so well I never felt like I was lagging behind. Also he takes wonderful pictures which is a plus for a solo traveler like me. Book this tour you won’t regret it!
very good bike tour, and you will enjoy it.one of the best way to explore the quito city. I highly recommend it.and thanks again to mauro.
This was an exceptional activity and a must do on Quito. We saw many incredible districts that I would not have seen otherwise! Mauro was a fun and amazing guide. Highly recommend to everyone visiting the city!
We had such a great day out with Mauro as our guide . He provided us with great bikes and Mauro showed us hidden places around the city that we would never have found ourselves . He was fun and very informative about all aspects of Ecuadorian culture . Would highly recommend . Thanks for a fabulous day Mauro
I recommend this tour with Mauro to anybody visiting Quito who wants to see the city with a knowledgeable guide, all while enjoying the fresh air and getting some light exercise. Mauro is a great guy to hang out with…very personable. He is also very knowledgeable. He provided us with a lot of information about Quito, Ecuador, the Andean region, and the history of it all. I asked a lot of questions and he competently answered all of them. He picks a good pace, deftly guides through the city on a path with the least interaction with traffic, and stops to point out landmarks and give explanations. I felt the whole time that he was adjusting for a pace that we were comfortable with. Before we took the bike tour we had walked around Old Town, but being in a bike allows you to see so much more at your own pace. We stopped in museums, visited shops we wouldn’t have found on our own, and he seems to know the best places to get great views. My appreciation for the city increased tenfold after our tour.
Mauro is an excellent guide! It wasn’t only about biking in the city but more about culture and different places and the stories behind it. He was very kind to wait and spend time with us in all the places we wanted to stop. We had a four year old with us, you can imagine how that would have been and he was Great! Can’t recommend this tour enough :) great way to understand a bit about the history and culture of the beautiful city of Quito! He took us to a chocolatier and that is HANDS down the best chocolate and brownie we’ve had. If in Quito def take his tour.
This bike tour was one of the highlights of my trip! Mauro was an incredible guide, super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Quito. He tailored the tour to match my ability level and personal interests, which made the experience feel very thoughtful and relaxed. We went well beyond the scheduled 4 hours, and I never felt rushed. I learned so much about the city’s history, culture, and hidden corners. If you're looking for a personal, active, and enriching way to see Quito, I highly recommend this tour and especially Mauro as your guide!
This bike tour with Mauro was by far the best thing we did in Quito. Mauro took us all over the city from north to south( old town) and back again. Mauro showed us lots of interesting things that we would never have found on our own, we had coffee lemonade in a quirky cafe in La Mariscal, ate the best chocolate ice cream in the world and learned a lot about the history of Quito and Ecuador. Mauro was very well informed and patient, spoke great English and it was evident he is very proud of his city.
Super recommended the bike tour, Mauro was an excellent guide, shared historical data, super recommended places to visit and we also tried local cuisine.
We always love to do bike tours of cities that we visit and this tour with Mauro that covered so much of Quito was one of our top tours!! Mauro was a great guide who got us around the city in many of its protected bike lanes and we felt safe when there weren’t protected bike lanes with his awareness of our safety. This tour had personal touches that felt genuine, unique and welcoming. Though Quito itself is at a high elevation, Mauro was thoughtful about getting around the city with this in mind, by picking routes that didn’t require us to work too incredibly hard. Some level of physical fitness is a must for any physical activity in Quito but we did great with his mindfulness of this. Our tour included a chocolate tour, delicious lunch at a local restaurant, followed by ice cream and ended with a gorgeous vista. It was so nice to see Quito through the eyes of a local who took the time to cover things that not only interested us but also informed us of Quito’s history and current culture. We would highly recommend this bike tour with Mauro to anyone who wants an up close, personal and fun tour of Quito! And we would definitely do the tour again!
