View on Google MapsSo much fun! Harold was an excellent guide and spotted two different species of bats that we would never have seen, as well as frogs, sloths, lizards, snakes, hummingbirds, monkeys And butterflies! He knew so much about the park.
What a fantastic tour we had with Harold who shared his passion, joy and experiences with us as we journeyed through Manuel Antonio Park. We were delighted by a smaller, more intimate group allowing us plenty of opportunities to explore the trail. Harold has great spotting abilities and was able to pinpoint animals, insects and plants of interest. He took his time with us and elaborated on some of the geographical, cultural and history of the park as we toured. Very worthwhile and I highly recommend based on my experiences.
We had a great morning with our guide Harold. We have seen many animals and had many explanations. I recommend the guided tour because otherwise it is difficult to see the animals. Thank you for the beautiful souvenir photos.

We had an outstanding experience in Manuel Antonio with Harold as our guide. By far the best guide we had during our entire Costa Rica trip. Harold has an impressive eye for wildlife and an incredible ability to spot even the most camouflaged animals. What really sets him apart is his scientific approach: he explains animal behavior based on habitats, statistics, and real field knowledge, not just pointing things out. Thanks to him, we observed wildlife we would never have seen on our own, and we learned a lot in the process. The pace was perfect, the explanations were clear and passionate, and the respect for nature was evident throughout the tour. On top of that, he shared photos after the visit, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended if you want a meaningful, educational, and authentic experience in Manuel Antonio.
We had an excellent morning with Harold in the Manuel Antonio NP. He's an very knowledgeable guide; we appreciated very much that he focused on our needs and wishes - my husband being a photographer and traveling with a 2 year old. We were successful finding lots of animals while having a relaxed walk with our boy. We can totally recommend him!
We cannot give enough praise for Harold, our guide, for our private tour earlier today. He was super knowledgeable, patient and, even more noticeable, so considerate with other guides and their visitors in spite of the occasional crowded moments. We learned so much and it was so reassuring to know that there are still good humans out there who care about teaching and sharing with others and preserving all of the plants and animals that make up our Earth's beautiful ecosystems. Please be sure to use this company for your future tours!
This was a wonderful experience. Learned and saw so many different animals. Our guide, Jaro, has such good eyes to allow us all to see animals that we wouldn’t had seen if we were just walking through the park by ourselves. This experience is well worth your time! Our admission was inexpensive for the both of us. The tour took 2hrs even with stopping to see all the wildlife. Because of the wildlife, the park is humid yet cool within all the trees. The park doesn’t feel crowded because there are plenty of places for people to stop and see the wildlife. Best for nature lovers.
Harold was a wonderful tour guide. Having a certified guide makes a difference. He is trained in zoology, botany, ornithology, ecology, environmental science, history, politics and more. He found many animals and showed them to us with the telescope, took photos and then sent them to us afterwards. We would never have seen these things on our own! He has so much energy, enthusiasm and passion that came through on the tour. We also got a deep sense of Costa Rica, its environment and its culture. One of the things I love most about being here is the great love and pride that Costa Ricans have for their country. Thank you, Harold!
You have to be very careful when booking tours of this kind, as you quickly encounter black sheep and lose your money. The company Nature Tribe Costa Rica has shown the booking process from start to finish. We booked through TripAdvisor and quickly got a message from the owner and guide, Harold. He asked us to make an online reservation directly on the national park page, as he could only then send us a definitive confirmation. We then took the first tour the next morning and our guide Harold discovered an incredible number of animals and brought us closer with his lens that we would never have found on our own. He understands his field of expertise excellently, has a flair for photos, responds to all questions in detail and conveys great passion for his country, Costa Rica. After the tour he sent us all photos via WhatsApp. The tour with Harald is highly recommended! He's the best guide you can imagine.
Our nature walk was amazing! We got the opportunity to see so many animals as well as learned a lot. We highly recommend Harold as a guide and especially using this company.
