100 Esplanade, Coffin Bay SA 5607, Australia
View on Google MapsThis was our first time trying oysters and they were pretty good! Aside from that, we learned about Coffin Bay, got 4 oysters each (& a seafood plate) and got to put on waders and shuck our own. Unfortunately , the tide was too high for us to walk out and see the farm so we just got waders on and went to a table about 8 feet off the shore. I would have rented a car and driven myself out to Coffin Bay instead for the $400 it cost the three of us!! The place itself was great and the food was worth driving out for. Kim the owner was awesome and told us a lot about the surrounding community and showed us some emus and kangaroos on our way back to Port Lincoln. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the price we paid. Go out yourselves and just buy some oysters and look around…
We had the Oyster HQ tour and lunch as part of a day long tour. We had a young Argentinean guide who took us out to the platform and taught us how to shuck oysters and gave us a history of the oyster farming on The Eyre Peninsula on 18/10/24 She was a delight and I would recommend it to everyone who gets close to Coffins Bay.

We took the transport, oyster farm, oyster and seafood platter package. Everything was superb. Debbie great getting us there and back and showing us her region. Kimmy was brilliant. Great insights into the working oyster farm. The best oysters we have ever tasted. Now we can shuck oysters. What a seafood platter! Wow! Every possible piece of seafood prepared and presented beautifully. Thank you
We are taught the history, types and characteristics of oysters by a knowledgeable oyster farmer. We also tasted the fresh oysters from the sea directly.
A feast of knowledge, outstanding views, the worlds most delectable oysters and a seafood feast to top it off. The oysters were massive, learnt the secrets of shucking and could even purchased a extra half dozen and a glass of wine to enjoy whilst wearing waders and sitting amongst the oyster farm. What a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for the memories.
Amazing day out and the highlight of our trip to Port Lincoln and surrounding areas. Educational and fun. The freshest oysters you will ever get and washed down with a glass of Reisling! It was a perfect way to start New Years Eve.
This was a truly excellent experience. From wearing the waders to enjoying the many jokes form our tour guide, we laughed from start for finish. Yet is it also incredibly informative - who knew oysters were so interesting?! The location is stunning, the staff are fantastic and the setting is very well laid out. Can’t recommend this enough. It’s a must do activity!!
Wild and wooly weather but spectacular all the same. Paul was informative and fun to be with for the day. I would recommend this tour, plenty of food and variety and the best coffee ever. Learnt more about oysters than I thought possible even though it was too rough to go out on the boat. It was a fun day
What a great experience. Very entertaining and informative. Pretty much engaged all of the senses - the waders moulding to ones nether regions was quite unexpected and delicious (as were the oysters).
We stared the day by entering the water in our waders and being served a glass of champagne as we were served our for half a dozen oysters. We then were given a history of the areas and the oysters while being shown how to shuck the oysters ourselves. A few glasses of bubbles and about 1000 oysters later my partner and I who had upgraded to the champagne (normally you can choose for no wine or a lovely Riesling) and seafood platter option were served our platter right there in the ocean. I cannot recommend this enough. If you come to Port Lincoln and don't enjoy this you'll really be missing out on a unique experience.
