We enjoyed a very informative and interesting guided walk around the French Quarter of Pondicherry. Our guide, Vinod, enthusiastically explained the history of the area and was happy to answer all our questions.
This was the best thing I did in Pondicherry! That sums it up. Charles was my guide and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Being a local boy who was born and raised there, he explained the history with passion and personal touch. He was very patient as well and never rushed. I would advise folks to take this tour as navigating the streets, knowing the landmarks and their story is best done with an experienced guide. Thanks Charles and best wishes! We had a fantastic heritage walk with Charles in Pondicherry. He is incredibly knowledgeable and brought the city’s history, architecture, and stories to life in a really engaging way. You can genuinely feel his passion for the city — it’s contagious! What really stood out was how thoughtful and accommodating he was. We were delayed on our end, and he went out of his way to adjust the route and still make sure we had a complete and enjoyable experience. The walk never felt rushed and remained super interesting throughout. Highly recommend this tour if you want a meaningful way to explore Pondicherry.
The Pundicherry Walking Tour with Vinod was really great! He was such a good guide and he was great at delivering inspirering stories in a very easy and relevant way. We learned a lot about both the history and current day in Puducherry city and Tamil Nadu in general. We can definitely recommend the tour with 5senses (local touring company) and Vinod as guide.
Pondicherry has lot to offer. Our tour guide was nice and kind. Yet the level of English proficiency was substandard.
