Why going directly to Lisbon from Douro Valley, taking a few stops, it is possible to visit the Medieval and Fortified town of Obidos, The fishing and surfing town of Nazare, the UNESCO Monastery of Alcobaca and the traditional town of Aveiro. In one way and one day, you will get a glance of Portugal, our history, tradition and culture. Through the tour we will visit Coimbra , home of one of the oldest universities in the world, with its magnificent Joanine Library, the entire University Complex, the Monastery of Santa Cruz and the medieval houses. While in the medieval town of Óbidos, we will visit the picturesque maze of cobblestone streets, the whitewashed houses, and the vibrant bougainvillea.

Instead of going straight to Lisbon from the Duoro Valley, we planned a day with tour guide to bring us to some towns on the way. Derrick was fabulous. We stopped int he Shale Villages in the mountains, and Obidos to visit a cool castle town. Our itinerary was easily amended for what our group wanted to see. Highly recommend!!!

Natasha is an extremely knowledgeable and kind guide and made out tour/transfer from the Douro to Lisbon, easy, fun, very interesting and informative. Our time in Portugal was limited so we opted to do this day tour via Coimbra, Nazare and Obidos on the way to Lisbon. It was the perfect choice, although a long day we highly recommend this tour with Natacha as a way of moving around the country. Lastly we had a fantastic lunch in Nazare of monkfish rice, delicious! Thank you Natacha and Pipefly tours.
