View on Google MapsGiorgio was a wonderful tour guide on this fun experience!! He told us the history of pizza and Palermo. It was very interesting when the pizza master, Cesare, came to explain to us his craft for his pizzas. It was really fun to customize the pizzas and watch him throw it into the oven. Drinking some wine and dining on pizza with Giorgio was a treat as he also answered our questions about Palermo/his personal experiences growing up and living there. Highly recommend this experience!
What a fabulous time we had! Our guide Giorgio was so friendly and enthusiastic. He taught us the history of pizza and he was so interesting. We loved this class cause it was in a real restaurant taught by pizza makers rather than a classroom situation. The owner George was so friendly and gave us a lot of his time and his staff knew their stuff! We got to choose and make our own pizzas after learning the processes. We learnt so much and had a fantastic time. We then got to eat our pizzas and have a glass of vino. Thank you for this wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Honestly, stop looking for any other tours: you've found the one that you need to take when you're in Palermo! Giorgio was an excellent guide who is incredibly knowledgeable in the pizza-making process, history, and culture. We started out the tour discussing some of those aspects, and then went to the restaurant where we'd be making our very own traditional pizzas. The master pizza-maker helped us go from dough to final dinner, and taught us all the steps in between for an excellent meal! I should also add, this was on a trip for my mother-in-law's 65th birthday, and her family is from Palermo. She had some information about where her great-grandmother had lived, and Giorgio was familiar with the area and provided us some great insight to do further exploring to find her family's roots. This was a wonderful experience for our family. I cannot recommend it enough!
Booked this because my boyfriend loves making pizza and wanted to celebrate his 40th birthday in Italy in a really unique way. This way by far the most unique experience we did and one of the top things he has ever done. Incredible knowledge on food, Italy, and of course pizza. Felt like we were on a pizza documentary show was incredible!!
Giorgio provides a personal professional tour that doesn’t disappoint! Combined with the talents of Cesare the head pizza maker and Giorgio the restauranteur you are guaranteed an informative, entertaining evening not to mention scrumptious pizza!
This was a fun experience, to see how good pizza is made. The pizza was delicious and the Tour Guide Giorgio was amazing.
This is the perfect tour for foodies!! We learned so about food and actually got learn about pizza making from a chef in a gorgeous pizzeria before dinner service started. The chef even sat with us after the class to answer questions about the nuances of pizza making. We didn’t get to make the dough (because of time) but the chef showed us how to stretch the dough, we got to pick a pizza from the menu to make, and we had the chance try to get our pizza from the bench to the oven. Lots of laughs at how bad we were at it!! But, the kitchen staff was patient and welcoming. We had a great time and would do it again. If you’re looking for an actual class, not a demonstration, and want to learn about pizza-this is your class.
