View on Google MapsThe sites were some of the most amazing we have seen in Mexico, full points for that. The organization of the trip was very poor wirh a lot of confusion, changing cars and schedules. No-one spoke a word of english, would definetly not recommend this tour operator unless you have at least a clue of spanish.
I have done the tour to the archaeological areas of Yaxchilan and Bonampak and it has been a very good experience! The guide explained everything super well, the places have been amazing and everything has worked perfectly. I'll be back!
beautiful archeological sites, to Yaxchilan you get by the Usumacinta river, it is a hidden gem. In Bonampak you will see the best paintings in the Mayan sites. Both are highly recommended

Loved it. I feel like we got great value for our dollar here. The ruins were awesome, the logistics of the trip were well thought out and the food at the restaurants for breakfast and lunch was really tasty. Absolutely recommend.
The yaxchilan site is beautiful with access by canoe in the middle of a preserved jungle. Bonempak with paintings of all beauties. The meals included were very good (breakfasts after 1h30 in a very clean space, lunch after the visit very well with a very good welcome). On the other hand I put minus 2 on the note because our guide on yaxchilan was very unsympathetic and apart from showing us 2 monkeys and looking at his cell phone did not bring us anything.
Well paced and organised tour. Long journey broken up by loo stops and drinks/food. Great driver. Good Spanish guide at Yaxchilan. Not expensive. Long day. Hot and humid. But worth it to see Mayan sites in the middle of the jungle in their raw cleaned state. Our group of 7 were virtually the only ones there. Highly recommended
Very good service, punctual and very well organized in terms of visits, breakfast, food and everything that involves organizing pleasant and exciting trips. I went twice, the first to Yaxchilan and Bonampak, the second to the waterfalls of Roberto Barrios. On both occasions I was lucky to have Johnny as a driver - super friendly, friendly and efficient at his job, driving carefully over long distances. A 100% recommended driver. Thank you so much for everything
We had to travel the Usumancita River to reach Yaxchilan which is hidden in the Lacandon rainforest, when you discover it you are impressed, the tree of life and all the cosmogonia of this archaeological area is unique in Mexico. Bonampak, a smaller town, but worth visiting as you will find the original stele and murals that are somewhat preserved. A great experience. Tip: Doing the tour with an Archaeologist is the best, you see and live with other eyes this archaeological area.
The visit to the archaeological areas of Yaxchilan and Bonampak is one of the culminating experiences in the Palenque region. Although it is theoretically possible to visit the sites on your own if you are carrying a vehicle, we thought it best to be accompanied by someone who knew the uses and customs of the towns and the dynamics of each area. We're not wrong. Our guide Marcelino strived to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.
We did a tour to Yaxchilan/Bonampak with 2 small children. Everything was arranged perfect! Pick-up, a good vehicle, breakfast, boat trip, guiding, lunch,... We've had a lovely day. Recommend!
