View on Google MapsI’m picky about tours and usually avoid them. This one was worth it: small group feel, strong packing, and guide Martin , who’s clearly done this a lot and knows to read people , so funny and informative. And food was just great 10/10
First day in Oslo and this tour instantly oriented me, what to see, what to skip and how the city "works". Martin answered all the questions from Politics to daily life without fluff. He recommended us great spots to visit afterwards and we loved the book stores around Oslo University.
It was freezing, but Martin kept the energy up and made Oslo feel welcoming. Great storytelling + practical local recommendations. I loved the food and hotel was absolutelly beautifull!
Didn’t expect a walking tour to be this efficient. We hit the key central spots and the pace was easy, Monika made it feel personal, not scripted. highly recommend! I loved the story of untuned bell 😀
It gave me a “mental map” of Oslo. After the tour I actually understood the city center, what’s close to what, what’s worth returning to, and what I can skip. Super useful for the rest of my stay. Martin was great.
Really strong tour and a great guide (Monika was excellent). Only note: make sure you have enough clothes and scarf, it was very windy close to Oslo Fjord. Overall, I’d still recommend it, especially if you want context + a warm meal afterwards
I left in a better mood than I started. The guide’s vibe matters. Martin was entertaining, calm and welcoming, and that made the whole day feel lighter and more enjoyable. the food at Grand Hotel was amazing and the Hotel is super nice and historical. I felt like in Home Alone movie with Kevin hahahhahahah
Before the tour, Martin sent us helpful tips for our stay (breakfast places, specialty coffees, public transport... . During the walk he also pointed out small details I’d never notice alone, exactly the kind of value I pay for. great way to get map of Oslo into mind, so we could visit later spots we liked! such as City hall, amazing stuff
We met Martin at the Royal Palace and immediately felt taken care of. Martin kept the walk comfortable and interesting, mixing Oslo’s big landmarks with stories that made the city feel alive. We passed the National Theatre, stopped around the Nobel Peace Center and City Hall, and got a clear sense of Oslo’s culture and history without it turning into a lecture. The ending at the Grand Hotel with food was exactly what we needed in winter—warm, classic, and a perfect “holiday in Scandinavia” finish. I left feeling like I truly understood the city, not just photographed it.
This tour was the perfect mix of “let’s see the highlights” and “let’s not freeze while we do it.” Monika kept the group moving at a comfortable pace, and he had that rare talent of making history and local culture feel human—like you’re hearing real stories, not memorizing facts. My favorite part is how it made Oslo click. Before the tour, I was doing that tourist thing where everything looks nice but slightly random. After the tour, I had a mental map and a sense of what matters. Also: I laughed more than I expected. There’s something very funny about a group of adults respectfully pretending they’re not impressed… while secretly being impressed. Strong recommendation
