View on Google MapsOMG. If you want to see and hear things about Oslo that you’d not have seen/found out about, then this is a tour for you. This is not a trip for beers and getting drunk, it’s a tour for beers and enjoying a conversation. There is an important difference there… please take note. If you’re interested in the latter, it is so worth it. Excellent value for money as the cost includes the food and drink. So worth it.
Ivan was great … lots of knowledge and fun tastings! Dinner of your choice with beer started the tour off right and the evening got better with Akuavit and Beer Tastings ! Fun Night !
Shaf was an awesome guide - extremely knowledgeable about Oslo, Norway, food, akvavit, and beer. We had a great time and learned a lot about Norwegian history and culture.

Our guide was an excellent leader on our adventures around Oslo! He shared the history of the buildings we passed, as well as some of the history of the City and the different foods we ate. He was very knowledgeable about beer as well, and although I am not particularly fond of beer, I enjoyed EVERY sip of the beverages chosen to suit us! This was a fabulous tour!! (forgive my memory but I believe our Guide was "Shem" or something close to that - apologies for any errors)
We went to 3 unique places and all of them different in their own way and brought a special view of Oslo. We had 5 total people on the tour which was fantastic and made it easy to ask questions and feel included. The first pub we had a sandwich as mentioned, which is a full meal and a great way to start. The final bar, Roor, we were greeted by one of the owners who talked us through the 4 very different beers we were trying and explained in detail why they were selected and why they were unique to Norway. I've been on other tours in other countries and typically you try pilsners and lagers, but here we had sours, stouts, and everything else along with explanations of how they came about in Norway and it was fantastic. Highly recommend if looking for good places to drink around Oslo.
We had such a great time. Ivan was a wonderful guide, and each place he took us to was unique and special. What was the most remarkable was the beer sampling we did at Roor. We sampled 4 different Norwegian beers as the co-owner of Roor gave us in depth explanations of the beers ingredients and brewing process. This was by far the best and most in-depth beer tasting I have ever done!
The whole family loved this tour. Shaf was very knowledgeable about Oslo’s and the greater Scandinavian history, and of course knew his beer! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore the beer scene in Oslo or those who just want to enjoy a fantastic evening.
This was a fantastic way to taste local beer and food, and learn some great local history as we walked the picturesque streets of Oslo. Shaf was an amazing guide!! The beer flight at ROOR to finish the tour was delicious, and the perfect way to end the tour. Thank you for a fun afternoon!
An easy going outing for some basics of the area. Shaf was a great guide, he brought us to some good local places and gave us the overviews we needed to get the full experience. The idea behind it is a local's night out, and you fully get that feel.
Lovely evening, Shaf is great and very knowledgable. I would recommend going to Roor, the manager Joe is great! The selection is fabulous!
