The team provided a form before the tour, allowing us to list attractions we'd like to visit, and then customize the tour based on our interests. The Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is stunning and definitely worth a visit. Our tour guide explained everything with enthusiasm, and he also had a good sense of humor. We really enjoyed the tour.
Okayama may not be as popular as Kyoto and Osaka, but I thoroughly enjoyed the custom day tour. The castle, shrines and temples, and the traditional streets and food were equally amazing but significantly less crowded than the similar sites in Kyoto and Osaka. Our local guide, Mizuho Hibino-san was lovely and extremely knowledgeable about Okayama's history. It was clear she has a genuine love of the job and cares for her customers. The friendly and professional local driver also demonstrated a passion for the job and got us quickly and efficiently to all the sites. Even though our hotel was in Osaka, the pick up and drop off at the bullet train station was very easy with very clear instructions provided. A thoroughly enjoyable day for the whole family, and definitely one of my favourite experiences of our Japan holiday.

I had only one day in Okayama, and it was worth being guided by Ikanawa-san from Japan Awaits. She showed me the beautiful nature of Okayama, and I really loved Okayama Castle. I highly recommend Ikanawa-san to anyone who wants to have a memorable experience in Okayama.
