City trip Struga and Kalishta, from Ohrid

After pickup, the tour heads to Kalishta, a unique spiritual site on the shores of Lake Ohrid. Visit the remarkable rock-carved monastery, where monks once lived and worshipped inside the mountain, and learn about their devoted way of life. Explore the carved chambers, see the nearby church, and view one of the oldest trees in North Macedonia. The journey continues to Struga, known as the city of poetry and bridges and host of the world-famous Struga Poetry Evenings, one of the largest poetry festivals worldwide. In the city center, visit the local market to taste fresh homemade products, see the source of the Black Drin River, and enjoy a walk through town. You’ll have free time for lunch before visiting the Nezlobinski Museum and the Brothers Miladinovci Memorial House. A perfect mix of history, culture, nature, and local life.
