Wild Catacombs Odesa

The tour was absolutely incredible, lots of unbelievably interesting things to see in the catacombs and the guide and his wife that was there with me were awesome! Literally couldn’t have done it without them. Not to mention, the price was unbelievably good, far too cheap for what it is!

Although the catacombs are also beneath the city, my guide for the day Ivan has particular expertise on, and passion for, parts of the mines in the countryside. I got a taxi to my destination using the local Uber equivalent app. As soon as I met Ivan I knew I was in good hands. We entered the caves and immediately felt the drop in temperature. Ivan was a wealth of information about the mines,their miners and other fascinating occupants down the ages. He pointed out the many instances of drawings and graffiti, ancient and modern to be seen throughout. He was also a wonderful and passionate source of information on his city and country generally. All in all, the best part of a day spent in pleasant and interesting company.

Great day exploring the catacombs with Ivan. His knowledge and passion were fantastic to be around for the day. I learnt history, mining techniques, local culture and a bit of adventure along the way. Highly recommended 👌

They're exploring this catacombs since ever and know every corner. You will feel save with them. I had great time with Olha and Ivan exploring the catacombs for hours. They are very flexible and supportive.

What an amazing tour. Excellent people - very knowledgeable, very safe. This is why I love tripadvisor. Our tour guide was the same tour guide that took the YouTube American documentarians down a couple years ago, so to get this at this rate was such a steal. Spelunking and catacomb aspiration is a dying object, but thankfully this tour kickstarted my desire to do it more, with people like these. This was truly an amazing experience, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Guides were very genuine and knowledgeable and also extremely accommodating. The catacombs are a must see if in Odesa!
