It was my second time in Oban distillery, within couple of years. I was already fond of this place, as it was my first ever distillery I’ve seen, and I had already builded certain standard and expectation. It was good to be back here with friends. I think we were one of first tours after New Years Eve, as distillery was not yet started, very peaceful and asleep. It was new experience for me. We were guided by Eilidh, in small group, which made it more pleasant, cosy and easier to connect with the place. Eilidh did brilliant job not only giving us raw science of producing god’s drink, but also sentimental knowledge, history, town fun facts and she remained unbend by no question coming from us. I thought, distillery might be less attractive this time of the year, since process of brewing did not start yet, machines are off and freshly cleaned before new busy season, no crew seen on site. Eilidh made it attractive without a doubt. She covered with us cycle of maintaining machinery, cleaning process, collecting new materials and we had opportunity to look inside of machines too. This was not possible on my previous trip, so I felt solidly updated and enriched by seeing this part of the process. She also did great job including our son. Boy was 8 years old, homeschooled, science fascinated and very well behaved. However, very often his polite nature and careful listening makes him invisible for adults. I was happy with whole tour. Now, I’m even more fond of his place. I need to bring my dad here! Thank you Eilidh, for the memories you gave us and experience!

Thoroughly recommend visiting whilst in Oban. The tour was one of the best we have had, very informative. Andy our guide was brilliant, the team at the time was also very welcoming. Highly recommend any tour, 10/10!!
Mike and Ross gave me an unexpected excellent and informative distillery tour since I was the only customer, followed by a fun and educational tasting tutorial!
Nice and informative about the process from start to finish unfortunately we went during the shutdown which meant no smells as you go round the distillery . Prices were not to bad and received tasters
What a great wee distillery! I certainly picked the best place for my first ever distillery visit. By luck it is in 'silent' season there when production is shut down to enable them to carry out essential maintenance.. Was given a warm welcome from staff and was provided with free water during my visit. Bethany was a lovely, engaging and most knowledgeable guide who made the experience both enjoyable and informative. Sadly I was driving and my companion was ill and unable to make the tour but they kindly gave me 2 drivers pack along with a nice whiskey glass to enjoy later. I'd recommend this very reasonably priced tour to anyone with some time in Oban.
Well worth a visit if you would like to learn more about the production of whiskey and taste it. Really enjoyed the tour which was very well facilitated by Sarah, who has a talent for bringing lots of insights in a very fun and engaging way. I applaud the don’t drink and drive policy, which means that the designated driver receives the whiskey samples at the end of the tour in small sampling bottles to try at home. Great solution!
We did the tour and truly enjoyed the experience. Eilidh was knowledgeable and friendly making it a great learning experience.
Had a great tour in the small town of Oban at the distillery with Eilidh. Lovely drams and fun explanation about the distillery process
Interesting visit, the first two Whiskeys during the tasting were a great introduction if you're not into Whiskeys. The tour guide was very informative (I think her name was "Eily" but I probably spell it wrong).
Had a great tour with our tour guide Sarah. Very interesting to see the inside of the distillery, and how the whiskey is made. Plus we got a couple drams of whiskey out of it!
