The 90 minute scenic trolley tour was the highlight of our trip to Newport. Conductor Rob was an excellent guide. He packed the 90 minutes with fascinating information about the history of Newport while keeping it lighthearted and fun. I highly recommend taking this tour. I liked that there was only one stop for those opting to get off at The Breakers. It kept a nice pace with all that Rob had to share. The views of the beautiful houses and the ocean were stunning.
Trolly Rob did a great job of narrating local history about the surrounding areas and gilded age families. In November only The Breakers open - would have loved to see some of the other mansions, but still definitely recommend.

Lot of information about the town and it's history and beautiful houses to see. Trolley Rob was a great guide and driver.
The Trolley driver was an excellent driver as well as a great narrator for the tour. Just so you know, you only get glimpses of the mansions through trees and shrubbery. The driver did stop momentarily in a couple of places to give you a view of a mansion or two.

Something got messed up with the tour, and when we arrived for our booking with tickets in hand, we were told the trolley was full. No room for us.😞. We contacted the tour company and were told a refund would be coming. Disappointed because we were on a Cruise and were leaving later in the day, and our booking was the last time slot of the day.
We were on a New England cruise stop and purchased the trolley tickets a month earlier. The 90 minute non stop drive was sufficient to see and have photos of the mansions. The driver/ tour guide was very knowledgeable. The trolley was very clean and nice.
