Both Rob and Bruce were thoughtful and kind. They clearly knew their stuff. My group of students were exhausted when we arrived to this tour and Rob and Bruce were so patient and met them where they were. They gave several tips to students with great cameras and others that were just using their phones. Would definitely book this again!

Their tours not only give unique perspectives for well-known sites, but the guides are excellent at providing just the right level of guidance for every level of photographer. For example, everyone has taken pix of the Brooklyn Bridge, but almost nobody knows the right spot downriver to get just the right framing. And the guide tactfully provides suggestions and advice. Mine was a night time tour which requires careful settings, and they explain the options while allowing you to experiment. This is our second tour with NYC Photo Safari, and I would gladly do it again.
Pilar was wonderful she took us to Roosevelt Island. She helped us with our composition and settings on our camera to take the best shots. Throughly recommend this tour.
David gave myself and my wife a great educational tour of not only how to use our cameras to take great pictures around Grand Central but also provided a great historical perspective of the buildings around us. He very knowledgeable in helping us in maximizing the full potential of our cameras and had us native New Yorkers enjoying taking pictures of our hometown. We would definitely recommend him to our friends and would love to take another workshop with him in the summer!
Zim was fantastic!! It was our first introduction to really shooting with a high quality camera and Zim was the best instructor we could have dreamed of. Not only did we get a bunch of amazing shots in Africa as a result, but we also really upped our selfie game!
Excellent private tour of the soho/Tribeca area. Lots of interesting historical facts about the neighbourhood and history of the area!
I enjoyed this tour a lot! The photographer was personable and professional. I learned many techniques. We visited many areas around the city, and I got the chance to take pictures of people, objects, scenery, and buildings using the techniques I learned. The experience was amazing!
