View on Google MapsI visited Wakeoe Shrine and had such a special experience. I got to wear the traditional shrine maiden outfit—a white shirt and red skirt. It felt powerful and peaceful at the same time. The red symbolizes energy, and I really felt it. The shrine is also famous for its goshuin—handwritten stamps you can collect. Each one is beautiful and unique, and it’s a lovely way to remember your visit. If you want to feel the spirit of Japan and try something traditional, I really recommend Wakeoe Shrine.
I had an amazing time visiting this beautiful place with my friend. Wearing traditional Shinto clothing and learning about the rituals was a special experience. The atmosphere, the colors, and the peaceful vibe made it unforgettable. Our guide spoke excellent English and explained everything clearly. A perfect way to feel the spirit of Japan in Nagoya.
I visited Nagoya Castle and watched a performance by Rie Asai. She performed a variety of songs, including some from the Edo period, anime, and the Amano Iwato legend about gods. It was a very interesting and amazing performance. I enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it!
