View on Google MapsUruapan National Park is a little gem in the city of Uruapan. Crystal clear water and so peaceful. Rodrigo was very knowledgeable about the park and the folk lore. As an added treat we also got to visit a nearby archeological site which was a surprise and a treat. Wonderful experience.
The views were beautiful and the guide was super informative. You can tell he has passion for his profession and wants to share all the information he can about the whole day. I would definitely recommend this tour with his company.
Rodrigo was our tour guide and was also our tour guide to see the neighboring towns of Santa Clara and Pazcuaro. The national park is quite unique because it’s in Urapan and is surrounded by the urban city. You probably wouldn’t have noticed it was there if someone didn’t mention it to you. The park is well kept and extremely nice. We walked around for a little over an hour. Although located in the middle of an urban city the climate inside the national park is mild and nice. There’s lots of shade and the paved walkways make it easy to navigate. Rodrigo made sure we saw every single part of the park and pointed out all of the highlights. The best part for us was the sustainable trout farming directly inside the park and also all the fountains and canals that are naturally powered by the river. We also visited Tingambato a small archeological site in Urupan discovered recently in the 1970’s. Although it’s small there’s so much history behind it as well including a recently excavated grave which you can see the remains and findings inside the small museum on site. I really can’t thank Rodrigo enough for spending most of our trip showing us around Michoacán. I really felt like we became friends by the end of our stay and learned a lot about him and the people here.

Rodrigo was amazing. Very knowledgeable. Urupan was beautiful, a jungle and spring in the middle of the city. So worth it.
The tour of both sites was spectacular! thanks to our guide Rodrigo. We found the way he talked about the story very entertaining and easy to understand. Furthermore, he was always professional and attentive. The small snack given was delicious. Thank you!
I did a solo tour of Uruapan! Rodrigo was a great guide. Picked me up at my Airbnb and we were off! Very knowledgeable of both sites you visit. He was able to give me the history and facts of both places. I was an English speaker and his English is great! You definitely want Rodrigo with you on any tour! He gave me great recommendations of other tours as well as food around the city! He brought a boxed lunches and cold water which was great on a long day of walking especially this time of year when it’s hot. He was mindful to give you time to take pictures and offered to take some for you! Great guide, awesome tour
If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. Rodrigo was so amazing and informative. Going to Tingambato archeological site was so amazing and he made it super fun. The national park was stunning. Can't wait to book more tours with Yei.
