View on Google MapsAmazing experience! Kevin was very friendly, knowledgeable and had a great eye for spotting animals and critters! He was also able to get us some great pictures.
Kevin was excellent! We did the night tour with our 3 kids (ages 16, 12 and 6) and they all rated the tour as their favorite activity in Costa Rica. Great pace and we saw lots of birds, insects, frogs and even a sloth.
Our night tour with Kevin was everything we wanted! We were a late addition because another, more commercial, tour fell through, and we were so glad it did! Kevin was personable, fun, funny, and very patient. He was also very knowledgeable and had an obvious love for the plants and animals in the reserve where we were hiking. He took great pics for us through his scope, too! If you want to tour the cloud forest, book Kevin!
Kevin was our tour guide and he was very personable, kind, knowledgeable, and he was able to spot so much wildlife. I was hesitant to do this tour at first, but I’m very happy that I did it as it was a memorable experience. Definitely book your tour with Kevin!
Kevin was an awesome night tour guide, he was able to help us find specific species that we hoped to see and we had a great time! Highly recommend if in Monteverde.
Kevin was awesome! Very knowledgeable and friendly, with a great eye for hard to find animals. Highly recommended for a good time
The night tour is highly recommended. It was a great experience to dive into the pitch dark jungle. Our guide Kevin was very informative and damn well trained in observation and on Android smartphones. To recognize animals at up to 30m height in the treetops only with a flashlight is remarkable. Night vision camera also with you and you could capture the sighted animals like tarantula, scorpions, frogs porcupine, armadillo and honey bear through these with mobile phone. Fantastic
Really enjoyed tour with Kevin! Saw a lot of animals, and it was actually super fun. The Toucans were definitely the best part for me.
This was hands down one of our favorite activities on our vacation. Kevin was an exceptional guide. Along with being very personable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to talk with, he has a nose for finding animals. While he cautioned at the outset that you never can tell what might happen, he managed to find 2 mother sloths with their babies, toucans, hummingbirds, frogs, a bat eating a fig, armadillos, tarantula, scorpion, and an Olingo. Not only this, but he gets great pictures too! The hike itself wasn’t too bad and takes you through the forest as well as an old farm that is being rewilded. Would recommend this to anyone visiting.
Our family of seven adults joined Kevin for a rainforest night walk, and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. Kevin’s expertise, enthusiasm, and sharp eyes made all the difference – he spotted wildlife we’d never have seen on our own and shared fascinating insights with humor and respect for the environment. In one incredible evening, we spotted: an active sloth, two toucans, bats, a tarantula, a possum, various spiders, a “moot moot” (his hilarious local name!), orchids, a snake, and several nocturnal birds. Kevin paced the tour perfectly, ensured everyone got great views through his spotting scope, and kept the experience fun and educational. He’s a true naturalist and outstanding guide. Book with him – you won’t be disappointed! Five stars!
