View on Google MapsThe park is beautiful and being in such close proximity to the giraffes was incredible. The sanctuary seems to be doing good work for the animals and the local community. Hopefully they will continue to improve regarding animal welfare, e.g. not permitting tortoises to be handled by either guides or visitors. We were fortunate to spend two days in Mombasa with Titus as our driver and guide. As two women travelling together it was lovely to have someone so respectful and considerate of us showing us the sights and sounds. He went out of his way to cater for our requests and nothing was too much trouble for him. WHEN we return to Kenya we will be requesting Titus as our guide. He's a star 🌟
We were awed by the sight of the giraffes, particularly the baby who was born 5 weeks ago. Omar our guide took us to all the spots where the animals are roaming free.
A long-overdue review (apologies, Sham!). Our experience with T4P was fantastic from beginning to end. We were warmly welcomed with a car stocked full of snacks (including Kenyan chevdo and drinks) and taken seamlessly to our safari and nature walk. Sham and the guides were incredibly attentive - always available to answer questions and truly went above and beyond to make the trip special. Everything was reasonably priced compared to other providers, and the accommodation was a great choice - sustainable and perfectly immersed in nature. The 3-day trip was unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend T4P more highly.

Walked alone, only with the guide, through the beautiful terrain. Without rushing. If I was interested in anything, I was given as much time as I wanted. The guide will help me take the picture. The animals have a lot of space and are free. It was like a safari on foot! Recommended!
We had a great day, Tyson was a brilliant tour guide. We combined the giraffe tour with a tuc tuc city tour and drop off to/from hotel. Organisation was great and we were whatsapped all the details for reassurance. We felt we were supporting a great ethical company that looked after its guides. We saw all the main parts of Mombasa and didn’t feel rushed. We could tailor it towards what we wanted to do and see so very flexible.
This was a great excursion. We got up close and personal with the turtles, giraffes and an ostrich. It was a fun experience. Make sure you bring water. It’s a bit of a hike but it isn’t complicated.
I love giraffes, so I visited this little known place the day after I went to the more famous Haller Park. The main difference here is that you don't actually feed the giraffes like at Haller, but the trade off is that you get to walk among them, which is even better. I enjoyed my visit to Haller Park, but it's very commercialized and can get crowded. By contrast this excursion is to Nguuni Nature Sanctuary, far less known and almost no other people vying for attention. The animals here are wild and not fenced in but they are quite acclimatized to people and know when the park staff will put food out, so it's easy to predict where they'll be at certain times. What I liked best is how incredibly close to the giraffes you can get. You are literally just a few feet away, no fences or barriers separating you from them. You truly get a sense for how big these creatures are when you're standing right next to them and looking straight up. An important point to be aware of: this adventure starts and ends at the sanctuary entrance, not at your hotel. So you will need to budget enough time to get there before your nature walk starts. Even though it's just a few miles away from the island, it took us almost 45 minutes to get there because of traffic, so leave plenty of time ahead to make sure you get there on time. If you're taking a taxi to the sanctuary, make sure they stay and wait for you because it's a bit far from the main road and not in an area where cars normally roam. The park staff will tell your taxi where to meet you at the end of your nature walk (it won't be the same place where you started), so it'll be a seamless drop off and pick up experience.
Amazing experience. Loving walking near the giraffes and interacting with the ostrich. You really get a feel of how tall the giraffes are
10/10 experience. I am a travel curator and organised this tour for my clients as part of their package. From the communication to the pickup and the tour itself, this was a great experience. My clients thoroughly enjoyed themselves and passed on their compliments
Yesterday we had a blast with the Travel 4 Purpose team on the Mombasa City, nature, and food tour. The guides, Dogo and Tyson, were fantastic, offering incredible insights into Mombasa’s history and lifestyle. From feeding giraffes at Nguuni Animal Sanctuary to exploring the vibrant street food scene, every moment was unforgettable.
