The landscape to reach the dunes changed from black rock to palm tree oasis's - so varied and beautiful. The desert camp was so quiet and peaceful. Dinner was excellent and evening campfire with drums and songs was a wonderful cultural experience. Viewing the stars at night was incredible. Accommodations were great. Mohammed and Younes were excellent and safe drivers. Younes was also an excellent tour guide; relaxed, informative, and served to make our trip what we wanted it to be. I would highly recommend not only this trip but the company for other tours.
So what to say except woaaaaw! Everything was perfect! So it all starts with the guide driver: Hassen benene (Zoubir) a man fills with human qualities with a big heart! A very good person! In addition to this careful and reassuring driving, he knows this road better than anyone and explains everything you need to know about the route , with him the 8h drive passes quickly! For the desert he is the perfect driver! Because he comes from a small village in the desert he knows the paths like his pocket! Sensations guaranteed in the sand dunes in 4x4!!! Arrival at the bivouac in the desert of ERG CHEGAGA booked with khalil (always at the small care to call Zoubir to know if everything goes well during the journey): Welcoming read by Mohamed and what a welcome! Simple people and exceptional kindness and attention! Descending dunes on snowboard! And especially the camel ride at sunset on the highest dune in Morocco! Just unforgettable!! Thanks to Anouar this 15-year-old who makes you the camel ride in the desert! True professionals even in the dark night (because of the rest of the band who delayed to return to the camel) they found the way without any problem to return to the bivouac! I liked the tranquility of the place, but also the visits and excursions in the dunes. The simple life of people from the south, far from the exuberance of the big cities of northern Morocco.
Our one night stay in erg chigaga was an unforgettable experience. You truly are in the depths of the Sahara. Brahin was an amazing guide, he taught us a lot about the desert and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend the experience and Brahin!
