View on Google MapsThe most expensive food tour we've ever done, and by far the best. Jimena was totally over prepared and over qualified for this. She knew every vendor and employee by name, guided us quickly and surely through the Sunday market crowds, and was totally articulate and knew not just about the cuisine but also the history surrounding Mexico City and Coyoacan. We ate amazing things, and we've been all over Mexico - the best Tlayuda ever (better than those we've had in Oaxaca), great stories, and incredible grace. See if you can find a promo code on the web, then book it. Very well done!
Just finished the food tour with Jimena, our most delightful guide. We had no expectation for the tour but it turned out to be one of the highlights I have had in Mexico City. We had fun, were entertained, and well-fed. We were so happy to have had the chance to enjoy the lovely varieties of foods and markets. Jimena was so knowledgeable and very delightful. Thank you so much. 5/5 recommendation.
This was a highlight of my trip to Mexico City. Coyoacán is a very bright and active neighborhood and getting to experience it with our guide Jossie made me feel like I really saw and lived the experience of the neighborhood. We ate and drank and immense amount and I couldn’t eat any more by the end. Our guide shared the history of Mexico, of Coyoacán, and of the food we were enjoying as we visited markets, food stalls, small restaurants, and even a trendy bar. My travel companions were a lot of fun, and I was among other solo travelers which was a great experience for socializing and friendship. What a great day, I’m so glad I did this tour.
I spent a fascinating afternoon with my guide Jimena H. Who shared her local and national knowledge. So proud and passionate about an area she grew up in and loves. The food and drinks were amazing and diverse, and most importantly delicious. A highlight of my brief trip to the City and well worth doing if you have time.
Fabulous! Jimenez was very passionate, knowledgeable and kind. She explained everything about the various and delicious food items and drinks we experienced during the afternoon. Jimenez took my nut allergy very seriously and ensured all foods I ate were safe. That means a lot especially as I do not speak Spanish. I highly recommend Sabores Mexican Food Tours!
Wonderful experience with a really personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic guide (Jimena)! I would definitely recommend this tour as a way of getting to know a very unique neighborhood in Mexico City while enjoying some really unique and yummy foods!
Great tour of Coyoacán with Jossie! She was knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend an afternoon with. Good perspective of food in this neighborhood as well as restaurants. We definitely would not have found these spots on our own. Highly recommended.
Josie was my guide for the coyoacan food tour from Sabores Mexico and she was amazing! I was the only one in this tour and felt completely relaxed and enjoyed Josie’s company. She explained all the different foods we tried really well and I truly learnt a lot about Mexican food and culture. I also loved the neighborhood of Coyoacan, such a contrast to the historical center. Highly recommend this tour if you’re in Mexico City and you leave feeling totally satisfied and stuffed. Thank you Josie!!
We had a great time with Jimena our tour guide. She grew up in the area and took us to a number of places we would have never found. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and variety, from food stalls to cafes to trendy bars, the stops were off the beaten path and beyond the typical tourist traps. It gave us a great look at Coyoacan and we wished we would have done it sooner in our trip!
just now New I highly recommend Sabores Mexico Food Tours. We had a brilliant day yesterday, having booked a tour in Coyoacan with our guide, Jimena, a warm and smart person raised and living in Coyoacan. Jimena met us promptly at a really cool coffee shop, El Beneficio de la Duda, …charming and characteristic with great coffee and pastries. We then explored the surrounding barrio, starting with several stops within Mercado de Coyoacan. The market is an explosion of color, aromas and texture. The food was off the charts, and I am confident we would not have stumbled onto such a rich experience without Jimena’s insight and guidance. We booked the “7 Lugares” option, but Jimena seemed to add in extra stops based on our reactions and interests. Truly I can’t say enough, certainly about the introduction to authentic Mexican cuisine but more generally about the rich culture and history of this chic district within CDMX. Brilliant!
