View on Google MapsMy friends and I would definitely recommend this walking tour of Menton. Thanks to our excellent guide, Cyril, we discovered many historical and practical facts about the city that would otherwise have escaped us. It is also a great way to find your bearings on arrival. Highlights included the lovely old town, the Basilica of St Michael, and the stunning views. Unfortunately the Botanical Gardens were closed at the time, but we were delighted to visit the Salle des Marriages which had been off limit to the public earlier in the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk with Cyril. He is extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. (We visited the Botanical Gardens another day - fabulous!)

A tour of Menton is a must! The town has such a rich history that you wouldn’t discover without the help of a guide. Cyril was extremely knowledgeable; he gave us a comprehensive overview of the history of the town from its origins as an area of lemon farms, to an Italian territory, to a Victorian holiday destination. His knowledge is not limited to Menton, but is also informed by a wider understanding of the history of the French Riviera. We finished the tour with some samples of local lemoncello, which was the perfect ending!
We enjoyed our tour with Cyril. He was pleasant and easy going and made sure we worked around the weather forecast. Cyril is a local and quite knowledgeable as to the history of the area and local customs and favorite foods. We had some nice samples and enjoyed the places he took us, including great views.
Our guide, Cyril, was knowledgeable and professional. Answered all of our questions and added interesting tid bits about local architecture and designs. I would recommend this excursion! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there are many steps on the tour. Beautiful day sites and city.
Cyril made this trip the best GetYourGuide trip because we ever had. It already started with the fact that, for once, on the one Sunday where we came, the lemon farm eb was closed. However, after some messages on Whatsapp, Nice Creative Tours found an optimal solution. Cyril brought us several typical snacks and a lunch (also problem-free vegetarian). We were also allowed to borrow mosquito sprays from him. He even Googled what Austrians like to drink and then took us white wine. It was very entertaining. We saw a lot and also the tasting at “Maison Cannac” was more than good.
This was an incredible tour of Menton and a great way to explore the city’s past and present! Cyril was one of the very best tour guides we have ever met and I hope everyone can experience this tour.
An excellent tour. We learned so much about Menton, past and present. Samuel is informative, energetic and charming guide
We found in Samuel, our guide an excellent guide through the old town of Menton and the botanical garden. Extremely helpful and kind made us discover parts of the city that alone we would never have known. He gave us a lot of interesting information so we could live our stay in Menton with more awareness. I travelled with the family, the children enjoyed the visit.
We had a family visit to Menton that lasted almost 4 hours with Samuel, our guide. It took us to visit many aspects of Menton giving us a lot of both naturalistic and historical information about this beautiful town. He was very helpful, professional and kind. Our children loved it and passed the time very quickly.
