View on Google MapsVery enjoyable tour, and well worth the drive from Medan to the nature reserve to see 4 orangutans! Hamsa (the driver) and Anwar (the guide) were both fantastic, and we had plenty of time in the reserve. Guides did a great job of keeping the various tour groups there on the day apart from each other so you could really soak up the rainforest experience. Lunch snack provided was also solid. But most importantly we were lucky enough to see 4 orangutans in 3 separate encounters. Such a great day and would encourage everyone to check this tour out.
See Orang Utan and other animals in their 'home'. While the treckking was not easy (wet weather + slippery hikes + steep hikes), it was really worth for a nature lover to go into a rain forest and experience the wild.
I realized that older people need physical strength. Even though it is a mountain path, you need to be prepared to climb the stairs for an hour. However, when I actually met the orangutans, I was exhausted and thrilled. It's very different from seeing animals in Safari park.

Jonggi from PT Enos Tour Medan was most friendly and helpful throughout the trip. Furthermore, his team of his driver and guides were friendly and professional, making the trek highly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
I recommend the trip. Everything is well organized and on time. Driver and guide very friendly, easy communication. The local guide also tries, although tracking down the orangutans is not easy. We saw 2. The only downside is cruising around the same mountain for several hours, though I think a lot of people don't realize that. This does not change the fact that the jungle is beautiful, and the route, even after 50, does not cause any problems. Just remember to stay hydrated.
Medan - Bukit Lawang Fullday Tour. I was picked up on time at my Medan Hotel at 7.30am by the owner Jonggi Turnip (owner of Enos Travel). A driver was provided for the 3.5 hour trip to Bukit Lawang. The car was a fully airconditioned Toyota, clean and comfortable. Upon arrival at Bukit Lawang the local guide was waiting with the permits and all ready to go. Jonggi accompanied us on the 4 hour jungle trek as it required at least Minimum of 3 which included the Local Guide. Anaur ( could be mispelt) was the local guide. His English was very good and was knowledgeable. I saw many monkeys Gibbons, long tail monkeys and other wild life. one of the best experiences was seeing a Mother (Ratna) and baby Orangutan very close up as the local guide knows the names of the Orangutans. Halfway through simple lunch was provided with Rice, Fried egg, Cucumber, tomatoes. Bananas and Sweetest pineapple ever. On the way back it started to rain and the local guide guided and assisted me through the way back as the ground was slippery from the rain. Saw a few Orangutans on the way back. After clean up the driver was waiting and we made our way back to Medan. The Private tour to Bukit Lawang is highly recommended as it is an experience of a lifetime, Jonggi made sure that everything ran smoothly.
Already they travel is adventurous and you see a lot of Sumatra and how they live people. On site, you will then head into the rainforest with the local guide. We were lucky and saw an orangutan mother and child right at the beginning. On the remaining 4 hours through the forest we say only a few more in a long distance. But that is a good sign rather than a bad one, as it shows that the orangutans can really live a little freer here than, for example, in protected areas on Borneo, where you can see the orangutans feeding in a zoo setting. Also the lunch was great with Nasi Goreng! But definitely strenuous tour...take enough water with you! And very importantly, pull closed shoes, long pants and socks over the pants legs. So with us the leeches could only suck on the pants! The long journey is definitely worth it and you still have enough time on site. In the Eco-Lodge on site you can have a drink at the end and there are postcards incl. stamps!
Buscar por las copas de árboles cualquier movimiento y colores rojizos. Increíble cuando los encuentras!!
