View on Google MapsOur Wild for Game Botswana Safari was 13 days. We had a very rewarding trip which exceeded our expectations and saw every animal we had hoped to see and more. The staff were very professional, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to be helpful and considerate. They are very efficient at braking down, moving and setting up camp. The chef is very skilled and prepared a variety of delicious meals. Malks, our guide, possessed an intimate knowledge of the terrain, the animals and their habits. He easily tracked and located animals and positioned the Land Cruiser to afford the best possible encounters. Malks was often the first guide to locate animals and we could see that other guides respected his skill and experience. He continually taught us about the country, insects, birds, animals, vegetation and weather which was very informative. He mixed up the outings to give us a variety of experiences; bush, plains, forest, boating trips etc. We are recommending Wild for Game Safaris for a memorable experience.
Our safari was simply breathtaking! From the first moment everything was perfectly organized – from the friendly reception to the last minute in camp. Our guide was incredibly competent, inspired us with exciting information about the animals and nature and always knew exactly where to make the best observations. The team behind Lucas did a top job and spoiled us well. I would like to highlight the great food, varied, very delicious and always freshly prepared on and in the fire. The tour fulfilled all our wishes. We experienced many great moments together and say thank you to Lucas and his team. We will come back as soon as possible

We had a great experience with Wild For Game Safaris. Lucas, the owner, greeted us at the airport in Maun where we took our flight to Xakanaxa airstrip to start our safari. From the very beginning it felt it was a high-end experience. Max, our guide, was waiting for us and took us on a safari before arriving in our camp. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the whole trip by Max and the team. The camp amenities were nice, clean and comfortable. Besides the guide, a chef and two assistants were always taking care of the 3 of us. The food was absolutely delicious (entrance, main course and dessert, and even cakes in the afternoon), we had a hot shower available whenever we wanted, a hot water bag put in our beds every night, so many details! And always greeted with a smile. The wildlife encounters are next level too, we saw so many different animals! On the last day at the Chobe Riverfront, where we saw groups of people on boat excursions, we had a private speedboat arranged for us. After that, we had arranged a transfer to the Zimbabwe border, so Max took us there, helped us with the paperwork, and made sure our transfer in Zimbabwe was there to pick us up.
10/10 experience with Wild for Game Safaris. Our family of four had an amazing time with Lucas and his team. The safari itinerary was a perfect mix of parks/concessions including Moremi, Kwai and Savuti over 8 days. We saw more wildlife than we could have hoped for, in no small part thanks to Lucas’ wealth of experience as a guide. He made every game drive an adventure and his depth of knowledge of Bostwana’s parks and animals is second to none. It was such a pleasure to experience this beautiful country with a local guide who has such deep respect and passion for the land and wildlife. We saw every animal on our list- and then some - including two male lions patrolling at sunrise, a den of hyenas with their young, wild dogs on a hunt and a leopard with her kill. We even saw a honey badger! The camping was luxury- hot showers on demand, amazing food and wine (we still don’t know how the chef baked perfect cakes at camp!!) comfortable bedding in roomy tents and extra little touches like hot water bottles waiting in our beds for the chilly winter nights. Wild for Game is truly a master class in mobile camping safaris. We are already planning our next trip with them and would not hesitate to recommend them for your ultimate Botswana safari. Thank you Lucas!!!
We spent an unforgettable week on safari with Wild for Game, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the stunning landscapes of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve to the rich wildlife of the Khwai community area, every moment was magical. Our guide, Shadreck, was exceptional—personable, deeply knowledgeable, and with a sharp eye especially for birdlife. His familiarity with both the park and surrounding community area brought an extra depth to each game drive. The mobile safari setup was outstanding. We were extremely well cared for by the entire camp crew, and the level of comfort was remarkable given the remote setting. The camp chef worked wonders in his bush kitchen—freshly baked bread and cakes were a daily treat! We slept in cozy canvas tents, complete with comfortable beds and hot water bottles to warm us on chilly nights. What made this safari truly special was the immersive experience: surrounded by the sounds and sights of the wild, we felt completely connected to the environment. The flexibility of the mobile safari allowed us to adjust our itinerary on the fly, making each day feel spontaneous and tailored. Lucas, the owner, keeps group sizes intentionally small, ensuring an intimate, personal atmosphere with no crowding in the vehicles. The vehicles themselves were well-maintained and comfortable, ideal for long drives through the bush. Each morning we set off at first light for game drives, returning to camp for a delicious cooked lunch and time to rest. Afternoons brought more adventures, with sundowners in breathtaking spots to end the day. Our experience with Wild for Game was truly memorable. The combination of world-class guiding, warm hospitality, and a spectacular setting makes this operator stand out—we would recommend them without hesitation to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable safari.
The trip was amazing. Lucas has a vast knowledge of wildlife ranging from big game to the most intricate of birds and mammals. He is a wonderful teacher. He is attentive and on how to be safe such that your trip is both exciting and memorable. I highly recommend his company.
Botswana has always been our number one bucket list country to visit. Not just because of the wildlife and flora, but the fact that the country, despite being one of the poorest, has managed to maintain a peaceful and democratic society since its independence, which is a credit to the entire population. The people are friendly and warm. The experience that my wife and I had during our tented safari with Lucas not only reinforced our perception of Botswana but added a totally new dimension. Under guidance of Lucas with his merry band of helpers, Pula (the Chef), Bungi and Antonie, you wouldn’t get better service if you were in a 5-star resort. But we weren’t in a resort; we were witnessing and in a sense being part of the local flora and fauna in its natural habitat which is breathtaking and a beautiful reminder of the cycle of life. Not just the capabilities of Lucas, but his oneness with nature was an extraordinary experience. Staying in tents, with relatively basic infrastructure compared to what we are used to, in the middle of a game reserve having a drink or meal under the beautiful African sky was mesmerising. Lucas’ love for his country and his work was infectious. Pula’s cooking with different meals every day was lovely, Bunga and Antonie assisting in every way to make us feel comfortable; it all added to the total experience.
There can be no better way to observe the wealth of nature, both in the animals and the vast landscape, of Botswana's Okavango Delta than under the guidance of Lucas Tahiti. Lucas uses his local knowledge to reveal the amazing array of wildlife and at times pauses so that you also absorb the stunning landscape. Lucas’ local familiarity of the wildlife allows positioning that allows up-close observation as the animals moved by our station. Aside from the larger animals, the abundant and colorful avifauna makes for birdwatching that is beyond compare – with Lucas providing expert birding knowledge. Lucas provides an amazingly comfortable camp, providing flawless logistics in a pleasant and safe manner. Even with cameras in hand, I found myself at many times putting them down and simply immersing myself in the experience. Lucas can be counted on a well-organized and totally satisfying adventure!
My husband and I went on Safari with Lucas is July 2022. I’ve been a nature photographer hobbyist for most of my life. Photographing wildlife in the Okavango Delta had always been a dream of mine. When I finally got my chance to go, I was extremely nervous. Would I even see the animals? And what about the lighting for the perfect picture? Lucas made my dreams come true! Lucas knows the animals! He is there with them so often, he knows where to find them. He was so aware of the lighting on the animals for photography I never had to mention it. He would position the vehicle perfectly to get the shots. He was extremely careful and patient with the animals. And above all, he was patient with me. He always checked with me to make sure I got my shot before leaving a site. I love Lucas!
From the moment Lucas picked us up at the Maun airport until it was (sadly) time to depart, we had the most amazing experiences. Lucas has a deep knowledge of the Botswana territory, wildlife patterns and relationships with the other guides. All of this led to a once-in-a-lifetime interaction with elephants, wildebeest, cheetahs, lions, leopards, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, all kinds of gazelle and antelope, hippos, and far too many birds to mention. I have some phenomenal pictures from this trip that could only have been taken with Lucas's knowledge and patience; he knew where to park the safari vehicle to get the best angles and light. If you are looking to check off a list in a day, this isn't the trip for you. If you want to track cheetah for a couple of hours and see them in their own habitat, doing their own thing, this is DEFINITELY the trip for you. We spent a few hours watching 5 lion cubs playing and their moms hunting and returning. It was life-changing. The accommodations (tent, bucket shower, pit toilet, comfy beds (!)) worked well and were set up near areas where the animals watered or played. The food was good and plentiful. I highly endorse Lucas as the best guide / photography support in Botswana.
